VDTs. It shall be the Employer's responsibility to ensure that the VDT equipment meets all the WCB and Federal Government safety standards.
VDTs. Employees who work on video display terminals (VDTs) shall receive a fifteen (15) minute break from VDT operation after periods in excess of two (2) hours of continuous VDT operation. The break is defined as a fifteen (15) minute period during which the employee would perform other department related work as assigned. A bargaining unit member who may have concerns regarding the arrangements of his/her work or work station may request in writing through the Health and Safety Committee a work/work station evaluation.
VDTs. (a) The employer shall provide a computer work station with appropriate ergonomic features.

VDTs. 23.01 (a) Employees who are pregnant shall not be required to operate V.D.T.'s. At their request, the Employer shall temporarily relocate such employees to other appropriate work without loss of employment benefits, but at the wage rate of the job in which the employee is relocated. The determination of the appropriate alternative work shall be at the discretion of the Employer and such discretion shall not be exercised in an arbitrary or discriminatory manner. If such work is not available, or if the employee does not wish to accept the alternative work, the employee may be placed on unpaid leave of absence.

VDTs. The Company will make every reasonable effort to ensure that work station designs are appropriate for VDT use and that any specific concerns the Union has will be addressed by the Company. For those employees working with VDT’s, a preliminary eye test will be given by the Mill Medical Department, upon request, and if the Medical Department recommends a need for further testing, an appointment will be made with a Specialist. Employees in the Woodhandling area will be allowed to retain “4 shift” jobs in order of department seniority.
VDTs. The Company agrees to provide inspections and necessary repairs to VDT/CRT’s to ensure that such equipment meets all pertinent legislative standards. The results of any tests shall be shared with the Union as soon as received.

VDTs. (a) Employee's who operate VDT's on a continuous basis shall be entitled to two (2) additional five (5) minute rest breaks per workday.
(b) An employee shall be allowed, at the Employer's expense, one (1) eye exam per year, when not covered by insurance.
(c) The Employer shall ensure any new equipment shall:
(1) have adjustable keyboards and screens;
(2) comply with the Workers' Compensation Board Ergonomics Regulations.
