When New Year’s Day or Australia Day is a Saturday or Sunday, a holiday in lieu thereof shall be observed on the next Monday. 36.5 Where in a State, or locality within a State, additional holidays which are to be generally observed are declared or prescribed by the authority of a State Government on days other than those set out in 36.1.1, 36.1.2 and 36.1.3 hereof, those days shall constitute additional holidays for the purpose of this award. 36.6 Where such additional holidays are to be observed in accordance with 36.5 hereof, it is the locality of the employers premises nearest the employees home or point of engagement (or the location of the site where employees are engaged on distant work) which determines whether or not the additional holiday is to be observed. 36.7 An employer and the employees may agree to substitute another day for any prescribed in this clause. For this purpose, the consent of the majority of affected employees covered by this award shall constitute agreement. 36.8 An agreement pursuant to 36.7 hereof shall be recorded in writing and be available to every affected employee.
When New Year’s Day or Australia Day is a Saturday or Sunday, a holiday in lieu thereof shall be observed on the next Monday. 20.4.4 Clauses 20.4.1, 20.4.2 and 20.4.3 hereof do not create an entitlement to an additional public holiday. The Saturday or Sunday referred to in these clauses shall be deemed not to be a holiday. The Saturday or Sunday referred to in clause 20.5.1 Where the employer and the majority of employees at a location agree, the employees may elect an aggregate approach to the administration of public holiday payments based on current shift roster work patterns. In this regard, Airport Operators engaged on a seven-day continuous shift work roster shall be paid a public holiday premium of seven per cent of base rates in addition to the existing shift premium, which range from 29 per cent to 42.1 per cent depending on the local shift roster. (a) The premium is calculated on the following basis:

  • Christmas or New Year's Day Off The Employer agrees to make every reasonable effort to ensure that employees required to work shift shall have at least Christmas Day or the following New Year's Day off.

  • Sunday Premium Any employee who is required to work at any time on a Sunday shall be paid a Sunday premium in addition to their regular hourly rate of pay in the amount of seventy-five (75¢) cents per hour, for each such hour and portion of an hour worked. Sunday premium pay shall not be added to an employee's hourly rate of pay for the purpose of computing overtime. The provisions of this Article shall not apply to the “in charge” employees referred to in sub-articles 23.03 and 23.04 of this Agreement.

  • Day not a Business Day If any day on or before which any action or notice is required to be taken or given hereunder is not a Business Day, then such action or notice shall be required to be taken or given on or before the requisite time on the next succeeding day that is a Business Day.

  • Holiday Falling on Saturday or Sunday For an employee whose normal workweek is from Monday to Friday and when any of the above-noted holidays falls on a Saturday and is not proclaimed as being observed on another day, the following Monday will be deemed to be the holiday. When a holiday falls on a Sunday and it is not proclaimed as being observed on another day, the following Monday (or Tuesday, where the preceding section already applies), will be deemed to be the holiday for the purpose of this agreement.

  • Banking Day a day (except Saturday, Sunday or official holidays defined by the Legislation for commercial banks), when commercial banks in Georgia are open and conduct their activity.

  • Holidays Falling on Saturday or Sunday ‌ For an employee whose workweek is from Monday to Friday, and when any of the above-noted holidays falls on a Saturday and is not proclaimed as being observed on some other day, the following Monday shall be deemed to be the holiday for the purpose of this agreement; when a holiday falls on a Sunday and it is not proclaimed as being observed on some other day, the following Monday (or Tuesday, where the preceding section already applies to the Monday), shall be deemed to be the holiday for the purpose of this agreement.

  • Working Day Working Day means a day other than a Saturday, Sunday, or a holiday which is observed by the construction industry in the area of the Place of the Work.

  • Public Holidays falling within Annual Leave (a) If a Public Holiday, as prescribed in this Agreement, falls within an Employee’s annual leave the Public Holiday does not constitute part of the Employee’s annual leave and will be paid as ordinary hours.

  • Holiday Falling on a Scheduled Workday An Employee who works on a designated holiday which is a scheduled workday shall be compensated at the rate of double time for hours worked, plus a day off in lieu of the holiday; except for Christmas and New Year's when the compensation shall be at the rate of double time and one-half (2½) for hours worked, plus a day off subject to this Agreement.

  • Payment on non-Business Day If any payment by the Borrower under a Finance Document would otherwise fall due on a day which is not a Business Day: (a) the due date shall be extended to the next succeeding Business Day; or (b) if the next succeeding Business Day falls in the next calendar month, the due date shall be brought forward to the immediately preceding Business Day, and interest shall be payable during any extension under paragraph (a) at the rate payable on the original due date.
