WORK ASSIGNMENTS AND SCHEDULING. Contractor is advised that all work will be done on an as needed, on call basis, and quantities of requested work will vary. The City Representative will approve all workdays and working hours under this service agreement. The City’s work week is Monday through Thursday. Contractor will not be allowed to work on non- workdays without prior written approval by a City Representative. Work start, and completion time frames will be approved by the City Representative before the start of work. Night hours may be required for some maintenance work. City will provide Contractor with as much advanced notice as possible; however, some emergencies may not allow for ample notice. All work requests will be furnished by, and coordinated with, the designated City Representative.
WORK ASSIGNMENTS AND SCHEDULING. Section 1 All regular daily shifts will be divided into weekly schedules for the purpose of bidding assignments. Food Transport Drivers will pick these bidded work assignments by seniority as qualified. Route Bids shall consist of five (5) individual Routes with designated pickup and delivery points sequenced as close as possible within the same logistical area. The Company shall retain the right to adjust any route at any time as new Customers or Donors are added or deleted from its routing schedule. If the Company changes the start time of a route by one or more hours, the Company shall provide the Food Transport Drivers with two weeksnotice of the change. Within one week, the Food Transport Drivers shall either accept the route as modified, or bid off the route to either a shape route or an open route. The bidding process will be performed annually at a minimum or more frequently based on business needs, and Food Transport Drivers shall have two weeks to select a Route Bid in seniority order. Bids shall be selected by Food Transport Drivers, signed by Food Transport Drivers and confirmed and awarded to Food Transport Drivers by Management on a Route Bid Form. Verbal requests or confirmations shall not be a valid form of selection nor be accepted by Management. It shall be the Food Transport Drivers responsibility to notify Management in the event a Food Transport Drivers is on vacation during the active bidding time period. Food Transport Drivers on vacation during the active bidding period will be given the opportunity to bid by seniority prior to vacation leave if necessary. Food Transport Drivers on extended leaves of absences, paid or unpaid, for any reason, will be excluded from that year's bidding process. The Company shall open to bid all newly formed Routes or Routes left open to any Food Transport Drivers without a route assignment. Food Transport Drivers may not bid for a route that is graded for a license below their license grade, unless there is no route available at their license grade at the time of such bid. By way of example, if a Class A route and Class B route are both open, the Class A driver may not bid for the Class B route. In the event that, following an assignment to a route below the Food Transport Driver’s license grade, a route at the employee’s license grade opens up, the Company shall be entitled, in its discretion, to reassign the Food Transport Driver to a route corresponding with that Food Transport Driver’s license gr...

  • Exhibits and Schedules The exhibits and schedules attached to this Agreement are incorporated herein and shall be considered a part of this Agreement for the purposes stated herein.

  • Work Assignments Section 1. The Company shall determine whether to staff a position or fill a vacancy and the method or combination of methods it shall use for such purposes. In making this determination, the Company shall first give consideration to qualified laid off employees with applications on file in accordance with Article 14 Section 7 of this Agreement and then internal candidates prior to off-street applicants. All vacancies within the Bargaining Unit shall be posted (manually or electronically) in locations where Bargaining Unit employees regularly work. The posting shall include the title, wage range, and sufficient information regarding requirements and duties to adequately describe the vacancy. The vacancy shall remain posted for seven (7) calendar days which shall be spread between two (2) workweeks.

  • NOTICE TO PROCEED AND SCHEDULE The CONSULTANT shall begin the work to be performed under this Contract only upon receipt of the written notice to proceed from the LPA, and shall deliver the work to the LPA in accordance with the schedule contained in Appendix "C" which is herein attached to and made an integral part of this Contract.

  • Work Assignment 1. It is understood that the assignment of work to purchased services does not convey a right to such work in the future, nor does it create any precedent with respect to future assignment of such work to purchased service employees by the employer.
