Workshops and Conferences. 20.2.2.1 Any Workshop or conference participation with an approved educational organization and/or community organization shall be considered for professional growth if it relates to the unit member’s current field or will prepare the unit member for a promotional opportunity to another position within the District. 20.2.2.2 The unit member shall provide evidence that he/she fully participated in the conference/workshop.

Workshops and Conferences. The District will reimburse each teacher taking workshops or conferences up to $300. For teachers who are not enrolled in an advanced degree program, the District will also apply half (1/2) the cost of one (1) of their unused credits at the University of New Hampshire rate per year towards the cost of a workshop or conference.
Workshops and Conferences. 21.1 All full-time employees shall be allowed/required to attend workshops and conferences without suffering any loss in pay or other conditions of employment. The conference must be pre-approved by the Superintendent and immediate supervisors. The workshops and conferences shall be at district expense.

Workshops and Conferences. A series of national and International workshops will be held throughout the project culminating in local workshops given by each pilot during the “Call for Cities” phase. Such events will be attended by Partners of STORM CLOUDS and the contacts generated by the project’s engagement and outreach activities. They will be used primarily to engage with specialist groups of stakeholders by getting a closer interaction with this type of audience. This aims at creating a specialist group of stakeholders through whom project results can be communicated to their respective communities. As an example, currently STORM CLOUDS has attended the CLASS 14’ conference, as a result of collaboration activities with project SUCRE and Cloud4europe project. It has also been presented in Brussels at the “Shaping and preparing the H2020 LEIT ICT WP2016-2017” event conference.
Workshops and Conferences. 11.1 The District and the Organization recognize that professional development is part of the regular responsibility of a unit member and that attendance at particular conferences or workshops may be a value to the District. Upon a showing of value to the District, and upon reasonable advance notice in writing, in each year of the term of this Agreement the District Superintendent may grant a unit member one or more days of leave, without charge to other leave credits, for the purpose of attending such a conference or workshop and/or may authorize reimbursement of the reasonable and necessary expenses of attendance at such a conference or workshop. 11.2 Staff attendance at workshops and conferences for which the district has authorized the reimbursement of reasonable and necessary expenses shall not be eligible for a salary credit hour adjustment.

The Cambrian School District encourages such participation by: 29.1.2.1.1 Providing classroom coverage for the duration of the conference or workshop. 29.1.2.1.2 Reimbursing expenses for fees and transportation, (IRS accepted rate) plus a per diem allowance for other expenses such as accommodations. 29.1.2.2 To qualify for benefits/units for workshops or conferences, certificated personnel must: 29.1.2.2.1 Submit a request to attend a workshop or a conference not less than two (2) weeks in advance to the Superintendent or designee. 29.1.2.2.2 Include a brochure or advertisement describing the workshop or conference. 29.1.2.2.3 Receive approval from the Superintendent or designee to attend the conference or workshop not less than two (2) days before the day of the conference or workshop. 29.1.2.2.4 Submit an itemized statement, with receipts, to receive reimbursement. Every attempt will be made to reimburse within four (4) weeks. 29.1.2.2.5 Unless otherwise specified units will be applied to the salary schedule if the District pays for the class registration fee. 29.1.2.2.6 No credit will be given for advancement on the salary schedule for attending workshops, conferences, or training during the school day. 29.1.2.3 Requests will be handled on a first-come basis and upon probable benefits for the children in the Cambrian School District.
