Attendance at Workshops. The parties agree to the following provisions for employees attending approved workshops/seminars:

Attendance at Workshops. Up to a total of three (3) additional days release time for the 27 President shall be provided for attendance at workshops or other activities concerning labor rela- 28 tions including the WEA Representative Assembly. The Association shall reimburse the District 29 for the cost of the substitute. 30
Attendance at Workshops. The president of the Union or a designated representative will be provided time off without loss of pay to a maximum of ten (10) workdays per year to attend regional or State meetings when the purpose of these meetings is in the best interest of the District as determined by the District. The Union will reimburse the District for the cost of any required substitute. Section 4.8.1. It is further provided that the above shall not be construed as limiting attendance at such workshop when in the option of the Superintendent, it is deemed to be to the advantage of the District for more members of the staff to attend.
Attendance at Workshops. Effective July 1, 2001, unit members shall be eligible for payment for attendance at workshops. In order to be eligible for such payment, a unit member must have obtained fifteen credits of instruction which shall have been previously approved by the unit member’s building administrator of office administrator. A credit shall be the equivalent of fifteen hours of instruction. Payment shall be as follows: •Unit members with ten or more years of District service: $1,000 per year •Unit members with less than ten years of District service: $750 per year
Attendance at Workshops. A. All permanent full-time employees who are requested to attend workshops on days when school is not in session shall have their registration paid and be reimbursed for mileage and meals within City guidelines. B. In addition, the Committee will make a conscientious effort to assist employees in their efforts to receive both initial certification and re-certification for their A.S.F.S.A. This will include, but not be limited to, providing workshops during scheduled Staff Development Days. In addition, the Committee will provide on an annual basis ten (10) hours of training towards a Sanitation Certificate. This training will be provided after the employee’s regular work day. Employees will not be compensated for attendance and will not have to pay a fee for this training. Preference for attendance will be given (in order of priority) to those who are permanently appointed to the titles of Manager, Xxxx/Xxxxx, Helpers. C. In order to ensure compliance with 105 CMR 590.003, the Director of School Nutrition shall designate two persons per school/facility to be trained and tested in the area of food safety as specified by 105 CMR 590.003 (A)(2). One such employee shall be the officially designated employee and the other shall be designated as an alternate. The employees designated shall be chosen first from the building manager position and then based upon greatest seniority in the highest job title at the school/facility. The employees so designated shall receive an annual stipend of $50.00. The Committee will pay the designated employee his/her regular hourly rate of pay for the time spent in training and taking the required examination. Moreover, the Committee will pay the cost of the first examination. Those employees designated shall be given thirty (30) days advanced notice of the date of the examination. This benefit is in addition to the AFSFA certification stipend provided for in Article XX. D. The employer may require employees to attend up to thirty (30) hours of professional development per year. This professional development may be scheduled during the contractual work day, in which case no additional compensation will be paid. To the extent that the professional development is conducted outside of the normal contractual work day, employees required to attend will be paid their normal hourly rate, including overtime pay if that is required by law or by contract.

Related to Attendance at Workshops

  • Workshops During the month of September or October of each year during the term of this Agreement, there shall be held at each University a workshop for Department Chairs at which will be discussed their roles and responsibilities as such. Representatives of the University, at its election, and representatives of the Association, at its election, shall be permitted to participate jointly in such workshop.

  • Training a. The employer, in consultation with the local, shall be responsible for developing and implementing an ongoing harassment and sexual harassment awareness program for all employees. Where a program currently exists and meets the criteria listed in this agreement, such a program shall be deemed to satisfy the provisions of this article. This awareness program shall initially be for all employees and shall be scheduled at least once annually for all new employees to attend. b. The awareness program shall include but not be limited to: i. the definitions of harassment and sexual harassment as outlined in this Agreement; ii. understanding situations that are not harassment or sexual harassment, including the exercise of an employer's managerial and/or supervisory rights and responsibilities; iii. developing an awareness of behaviour that is illegal and/or inappropriate; iv. outlining strategies to prevent harassment and sexual harassment; v. a review of the resolution of harassment and sexual harassment as outlined in this Agreement; vi. understanding malicious complaints and the consequences of such; vii. outlining any Board policy for dealing with harassment and sexual harassment; viii. outlining laws dealing with harassment and sexual harassment which apply to employees in B.C.

  • Elementary Schools A. Each classroom shall have one text per child when the subject is being taught. Future textbook adoptions will include appropriate supplementary materials when those materials are recommended by the adoption committee. Any consumables or supplementary materials adopted shall be distributed according to the committee’s recommendation prior to implementing the adoption. When adopted, consumables, such as workbooks, will be distributed to each child before required usage of the materials. The joint Curriculum Committee shall be consulted prior to the discontinuance of such materials. (See Article XXVI). Newly employed teachers and all teachers who transfer to a new teaching assignment will be provided appropriate desk top supplies and Board adopted curriculum materials. If a teacher is transferring into a newly created classroom, appropriate furniture will be provided. The parties have agreed to an inventory (reference Appendix Z) of supplies, materials, and furniture. A teacher who is not provided the core inventory by September 1 or within thirty (30) days of assignment shall be entitled to appeal directly through the Federation to the appropriate Transformational Leader or his/her designee. B. Each child found to be without adequate health care, where immediate medical attention is needed, shall be referred by the Board to the appropriate social agency upon notification by the teacher. The teacher shall receive written confirmation of the referral within ten (10) school days. C. No teacher shall be required to supervise or be present in the dining area during a local, state or federal breakfast or lunch program. Such instructional time used for said programs shall be considered planning time for the teacher, at a place of his/her choice, within the building. D. No elementary teacher shall be assigned to teach in an area outside his/her certification, subject to Article IV, G- 4. E. Cafeteria duty shall be voluntary when service is performed by a teacher. F. No bus or other additional duties shall be assigned to an elementary teacher outside the six hour and fifteen minute duty day. G. Elementary teachers shall not be required to be present when other teachers are responsible for presenting materials to the class. If a demonstration lesson is requested by the teacher, he/she will be required to be present. Such requests shall be initiated by the teacher. H. Teachers in bilingual classes shall be capable of teaching in both languages when those bilingual teachers can be found. Volunteers, paraprofessionals or casual employees shall be prohibited from supplanting a teacher in bilingual or ESL programs. However, a paraprofessional ELDP tutor may be used to work under the direction of a regular teacher in the bargaining unit to assist those students who need reinforcement in English for less than a full class day. Regular contract teachers who will agree to obtain certification for bilingual or ESL classes shall be employed or used when teachers with fluency in two or more languages cannot be found. Consultants in these programs shall not replace or displace a teacher. I. Student test results for each elementary school shall be made available on a timely basis for achievement and other Ohio mandated tests and standardized tests when administered. J. When a teacher transfers, a three (3) day notice shall be given when possible. Two

  • Schools The Project must apply for concurrency review at Lake County Public Schools. The school district has a specific application process. The Project must be shown to have appropriate school concurrency before building permits are issued.

  • Personnel Provide, without remuneration from or other cost to the Trust, the services of individuals competent to perform the administrative functions which are not performed by employees or other agents engaged by the Trust or by the Adviser acting in some other capacity pursuant to a separate agreement or arrangement with the Trust.

  • Network Maintenance and Management 38.1 The Parties will work cooperatively to implement this Agreement. The Parties will exchange appropriate information (for example, maintenance contact numbers, network information, information required to comply with law enforcement and other security agencies of the government, escalation processes, etc.) to achieve this desired result. 38.2 Each Party will administer its network to ensure acceptable service levels to all users of its network services. Service levels are generally considered acceptable only when End Users are able to establish connections with little or no delay encountered in the network. Each Party will provide a twenty four (24)-hour contact number for Network Traffic Management issues to the other’s surveillance management center. 38.3 Each Party maintains the right to implement protective network traffic management controls, such as “cancel to”, “call gapping” or seven (7)-digit and ten (10)-digit code gaps, to selectively cancel the completion of traffic over its network, including traffic destined for the other Party’s network, when required to protect the public-switched network from congestion as a result of occurrences such as facility failures, switch congestion or failure or focused overload. Each Party shall immediately notify the other Party of any protective control action planned or executed. 38.4 Where the capability exists, originating or terminating traffic reroutes may be implemented by either Party to temporarily relieve network congestion due to facility failures or abnormal calling patterns. Reroutes shall not be used to circumvent normal trunk servicing. Expansive controls shall be used only when mutually agreed to by the Parties. 38.5 The Parties shall cooperate and share pre-planning information regarding cross-network call-ins expected to generate large or focused temporary increases in call volumes to prevent or mitigate the impact of these events on the public-switched network, including any disruption or loss of service to the other Party’s End Users. Facsimile (FAX) numbers must be exchanged by the Parties to facilitate event notifications for planned mass calling events. 38.6 Neither Party shall use any Interconnection Service provided under this Agreement or any other service related thereto or used in combination therewith in any manner that interferes with or impairs service over any facilities of AT&T-21STATE, its affiliated companies or other connecting telecommunications carriers, prevents any carrier from using its Telecommunications Service, impairs the quality or the privacy of Telecommunications Service to other carriers or to either Party’s End Users, causes hazards to either Party’s personnel or the public, damage to either Party’s or any connecting carrier’s facilities or equipment, including any malfunction of ordering or billing systems or equipment. Upon such occurrence either Party may discontinue or refuse service, but only for so long as the other Party is violating this provision. Upon any such violation, either Party shall provide the other Party notice of the violation at the earliest practicable time. 38.7 AT&T TENNESSEE hereby commits to provide Disaster Recovery to CLEC according to the plan below. 38.7.1 AT&T TENNESSEE Disaster Recovery Plan 38.7.2 In the unlikely event of a disaster occurring that affects AT&T TENNESSEE’s long-term ability to deliver traffic to a CLEC, general procedures have been developed by AT&T TENNESSEE to hasten the recovery process in accordance with the Telecommunications Service Priority (TSP) Program established by the FCC to identify and prioritize telecommunication services that support national security or emergency preparedness (NS/EP) missions. A description of the TSP Program as it may be amended from time to time is available on AT&T TENNESSEE’s Wholesale – Southeast Region Web site. Since each location is different and could be affected by an assortment of potential problems, a detailed recovery plan is impractical. However, in the process of reviewing recovery activities for specific locations, some basic procedures emerge that appear to be common in most cases. 38.7.3 These general procedures should apply to any disaster that affects the delivery of traffic for an extended time period. Each CLEC will be given the same consideration during an outage, and service will be restored as quickly as possible. AT&T TENNESSEE reserves the right to make changes to these procedures as improvements become available or as business conditions dictate. 38.7.4 This plan will cover the basic recovery procedures that would apply to every CLEC.

  • Volunteers The use of volunteers to perform bargaining unit work, as covered by this agreement, shall not be expanded beyond the extent of existing practice as of June 1, 1986. The Hospital shall submit to the Union, at three (3) month intervals, the number of volunteers for the current month and the number of hours worked and the duties performed.
