Long Leave definition

Long Leave means an approved leave taken by the Grantee for a period of more than three months out of twelve months starting from the date of Grant / Vesting, as the case may be.
Long Leave means continues leave taken by the Eligible Employee in excess of 90 days or as determined by the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.
Long Leave means continuous period of leave, with or without pay, for more than 15 days, granted in accordance with the Company’s policy or with a due approval from the appropriate authority in the Company.

Examples of Long Leave in a sentence

  • When obtaining authorization for a Short Leave or a Long Leave the employee is required to specify the length of the absence.

  • An employee who takes a Short Leave or a Long Leave shall have their increment postponed for a period equal to the period of the leave.

  • If the leave is approved, and the employee subsequently decides not to take the leave, or to return to work prior to the end of the scheduled leave period, the employee must provide the Employer with at least two (2) weeks advance notice in the case of a Short Leave and four (4) weeks advance notice in the case of a Long Leave.

  • Where an employee(s) has been granted a Long Leave by the Employer and has made arrangements to pay both their share and the Employer’s share of the benefit premiums (Medical Services Plan, Extended Health, Dental, Group Life Insurance, and Accidental Death and Dismemberment) and the benefit carrier agrees to continue coverage for the employee during the time the employee is on leave, the Employer shall make arrangements to continue the coverage for the period of the leave.

  • This is a consequence of amendments made to section 5 of the Judges (Pensions and Long Leave) Act 1957 in this Bill.


More Definitions of Long Leave

Long Leave means a continuous unpaid leave of 30 continuous days or more during the vesting period or any other period determined by the Board from time to time.
Long Leave means leave availed by an Employee with express approval / sanction by the Company/Subsidiary Company with full / partial wages and such leave of absence is beyond leave entitlement prescribed by the internal policy of the Company/Subsidiary Company (or in the absence of such internal policy, as decided by the Committee) and shall include the following:
Long Leave means a sanctioned leave in excess of 60 days without break.
Long Leave means leave taken by the Employee for more than 60 days, which has been approved by the Company.

Long Leave means permission granted to the Employee to be absent from work for a period beyond fifteen days but not more than 45 days or such other period as the Company / Subsidiary Company / Holding Company may determine in its sole and absolute discretion;
Long Leave means an approved leave taken by the Grantee for a period of more than 3 (three) months during the Vesting Period. For the purpose of clarity, the period of Long Leave shall not include the period in which the Grantee is on approved earned leave and sick leave and maternity leave. In case of any ambiguity in determination of Long Leave, the decision of the Board/ Committee shall be final and binding.
