Teacher performance results are reported as a teacher performance rating that may be coded as “1” indicating lowest performance to “4” indicating highest performance.

Teacher Performance. Teacher observation by Supervisors of the work performance of a teacher shall be conducted in a professional manner.
Teacher Performance. The assessment of a teacher, during the evaluation cycle, which is based upon the educator professional standards, and reported using the rubric contained in Appendix E of this Agreement. As an evaluation factor, the teacher evaluation is based on direct observations, evidence and walkthroughs that are performed by a credentialed evaluator. Teacher results are reported as a teacher rating, based on the OTES/OSCES Teacher Evaluation Rubric.
Teacher Performance. A. The parties recognize and agree that teacher performance plays an important role in the growth and development of students. Therefore, the evaluation of teacher performance should provide information pertinent to career development. To this end, the following procedural safeguards relating to teacher performance have been agreed to in an effort to accomplish the goal. B. TEACHER PERFORMANCE EVALUATION SYSTEM C. All formal evaluations of teachers shall be in writing. However, all evaluations of teachers, formal or otherwise, shall be governed by Article IX - Personnel Information. No teacher shall be required to sign a blank or incomplete form. All monitoring or observation of the performance of a teacher shall be conducted openly and with full knowledge of the teacher. The use of eavesdropping, public address-audio systems, audio recording, video recording, and similar devices for teacher evaluation shall be prohibited. However, a video recording of a teacher during instruction shall be permitted for mentoring, coaching and professional development purposes as long as the teacher consents and the video shall not be used for teacher evaluation purposes. D. Teachers will be provided an orientation on the instrument that will be utilized. The orientation will include a review of the instrument, the process and criteria that will be applied. The teacher will be provided an electronic version of the instrument. Teachers will be provided notification of any amendments to the instrument via email. E. A teacher shall be notified at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to an F. Upon completion of the final evaluation, the evaluator will review/discuss G. (c) All monitoring or observation of the work performance of a teacher shall be conducted openly and with full knowledge of the teacher. (d) No inaccurate, untimely, or undocumented information may become part of a teacher’s performance assessment. All results and conclusions of performance assessments shall be documented and supported by evidence. (e) In implementing performance assessments, the district shall conduct all assessments so as to observe the legal and constitutional rights of teachers, and no teacher performance information shall be collected by video or audio devices. The teacher may supply audio or video to their evaluators as evidence. (f) Schedule of observations: 1. A minimum of two (2) formal observations shall be conducted. A formal observation shall last a minimum of thirty (30) continuous minutes. There shall be at least three (3) weeks between formal observations. The first formal observation shall be completed by the end of the first semester. The second formal observation shall be completed by May 1. 2. Teachers shall not receive a formal observation on a day before or after the following: the administration of standardized testing; or on a day immediately following an extended (documented) illness of three (3) days 3. Observation data should be recorded on OTES rubric with scripting evidence.

Teacher Performance. A. All monitoring or observation of the work performance of a teacher will be conducted openly and with full knowledge of the teacher. Teachers will be given a copy of an evaluation report prepared by their supervisors and will have the right to discuss such reports with their supervisors. 1. Teachers will have the right, upon written request, to review the contents of their personnel file or any other file. A teacher will be entitled to have a representative of the Association accompany him/her during such a review. 2. No material derogatory to a teacher's conduct, service, character or personality will be placed in his/her personnel file, or any other file, unless the teacher has had the opportunity to review the material. The teacher will acknowledge that he/she has had the opportunity to review such material by affixing his/her signature to the copy to be filed with the express understanding that such signature in no way indicates agreement with the contents thereof. The teacher will also have the right to submit a written answer to such material and his/her answer shall be reviewed by the Superintendent and attached to the file copy. X. Xx administrator to whom a written or oral complaint against a teacher is made will, where appropriate, first refer the complaint to the individual about whom the complaint was made, and notify the teacher within one (1) school day. If the complaint cannot be resolved between the two individuals or if the complaint is of such a substantial nature that it should be handled by an administrator in the first instance, then, within five (5) school days, except in unusual circumstances beyond the control of the administrator(s), the administrator will notify the teacher that a complaint has been received and it will be investigated. Complaints will be handled and investigated in a timely manner. As part of any investigation, the teacher will be given the opportunity to have an Association representative present and to respond to the complaint. D. The Association recognizes the authority and responsibility of the Principal for disciplining or reprimanding a teacher for delinquency of professional performance. If a teacher is to be disciplined or reprimanded formally by a member of the Administration above the level of the Principal however, he/she will be entitled to have an appropriate representative of the Association present. Teacher Performance. For teachers whose annual performance review reflects an overall rating of less than Fully Engaged, the performance review team shall identify specific areas for improvement within the performance review area. Such teachers shall be given opportunity to continue working to improve performance to reach the Fully Engaged level starting in the year immediately following the initial review for a period of up to three years.
