Short Changeover Premium. (a) If shifts are scheduled so that there are not 24 hours between the start of an employee's shift and the start of their next shift, a premium calculated at the overtime rates will be paid for hours worked on the succeeding shift within the 24-hour period. (b) Where an employee exercises seniority rights to work shifts, one of which falls within the 24-hour period from the start of the previous shift, the employee shall not be entitled to claim the premium rate referred to in (a) above.

Short Changeover Premium. Except by mutual agreement, an employee will receive eight consecutive hours off duty when changing shifts. If shifts are scheduled so that there are not eight hours between the finish of an employee's shift and the start of their next shift, a premium calculated at overtime rates will be paid for hours worked on the succeeding shift within the eight hour period.

  • Base Year The period beginning on 1 April of one year and ending on 31 March of the following year.

  • Shift Premium Effective July 1, 2020, an employee shall be paid a shift premium of ninety-five cents (95c/ ) per hour for each hour worked between 1500 hours and 0700 hours provided that such hours exceed two (2) hours if worked in conjunction with the day shift.

  • Shift and Weekend Premium (a) An employee shall be paid a shift premium of eighty-five cents (85¢) per hour for each hour worked between the hours of 1500-0700 hours. (b) Effective July 1, 2013, an employee shall be paid a weekend premium of one dollar ($1.00) per hour for each hour worked between 2300 hours Friday and 2300 hours Sunday, or such other forty-eight (48) hour period as the local parties may agree upon or as defined in the Collective Agreement. If an employee is receiving premium pay pursuant to a local scheduling regulation with respect to consecutive weekends worked, the employee will not receive weekend premium under this provision.

  • Shift Differential A. Shift differential will be $.60 cents per hour. B. Employees eligible for shift differential are those whose work shift begins before 6:00 a.m. or ends on or after 7:00 p.m. and are scheduled by their supervisor for a total shift of at least six (6) hours in duration. This shift differential shall not apply to those employees who have requested and have been granted flexible work scheduling.
