Changing Shifts Sample Clauses

Changing Shifts. A. Any officer changing his or her shift during the year at the order of the Department will be placed in the group of the Officer he or she is replacing, taking the appropriate number within the group determined by his or her seniority. B. Any officer changing his or her shift during the year as a result of his or her request, will be placed in the group of the Officer he or she is replacing, and taking the seniority of that Officer within that group.
Changing Shifts. In order that an employee should receive two (2) shifts off each day, shifts shall be arranged so that an employee is not scheduled to work on more than one (1) shift in any twenty-four (24) hour period. However, if an employee is required to work an additional shift within the stated twenty-four (24) hour period, he shall, subject to the provision of clause 15.01, be paid time and one-half (1-1/2) for all hours worked on the additional shift.
Changing Shifts. (a) Employees transferred from one shift to another at the direction of management will be paid overtime rate for the first shift worked on the shift to which transferred and if he works more than one shift on the shift to which transferred will be paid at overtime rate for the first shift worked after returning to his regular assignment. Such overtime payment shall not apply to transfers made as a result of the exercise of seniority. (b) If it becomes necessary to create a relief job in which the assigned relief man is compelled to perform work on different shifts in order to have five working days included in his assignment, such employee will not be paid overtime rates for changing shifts to perform the work on the shifts included in his assignment.
Changing Shifts. The accumulated sick leave hours for an employee going from the Day Shift to the 24-Hour Shift shall be multiplied by 1.
Changing Shifts. Except with respect to an employee occupying a relief assignment changing from one shift to another included in such assignment, employees changing, by direction of the Carrier, from one shift to another will be paid at time and one-half rate for the first shift of each change. Employees working two (2) shifts or more on a new shift shall be considered transferred. This will not apply when shifts are temporarily changed at the request of the employees involved.
Changing ShiftsEmployees will continue to enjoy the practice of changing shifts amongst themselves and no changes will be made to the schedule until such changes have been authorized by management.
Changing ShiftsThe Employer shall give the employee(s) twenty-four (24) hours notice in writing when temporarily changing their shift(s) except in cases of emergency. The parties recognize that shifts that may be permanently changed will result in employees evoking the lay-off/bumping process as outlined in Article 9.08.
Changing ShiftsEmployees must give the Employer at least three (3) working days notice of intention to change shift, together with an undertaking signed by an employee willing to exchange such shift and that such change in shift indicated by an employee shall not result in overtime compensation or payment.

Changing Shifts. 33.1 When Employees are required to change from one shift to another, Monday to Friday inclusive, they shall be paid the applicable overtime rates in accordance with Article 23. 33.2 This Article does not apply to Employees who request and are granted a shift change.
