Short-Term Employees. Short-term employees occupy positions (short-term positions) maintained by the District during the fiscal year, 175 days or less in some circumstances and for 165 days or less in other circumstances.
Short-Term Employees. (a) Short-term employee is a person who is employed to perform a service for the District, upon the completion of which, the service required or similar services will not be extended or needed on a continuing basis.
Short-Term Employees. The following terms and conditions will apply to the employment of Short Term employees by the Corporation.
Short-Term Employees. The Sheriff may continue to utilize the services of student interns to assist and supplement bargaining unit work in accordance with past practice and the Illinois Labor Relations Act.
Short-Term Employees. A classified unit member shall not be laid off if a short-term employee is retained to render a service that the classified employee is qualified to render.
Short-Term Employees. The District may employ a short-term employee, pursuant 136 to Education Code 88003, to perform a service for the District, upon the completion 137 of which, the service required or similar services will not be extended or needed 138 on a continuing basis. Short-term employees, employed and paid for less than 139 seventy-five (75) percent of a fiscal year, shall not be a part of the classified 140 service.
Short-Term Employees. (a) A Short-Term Employee who, upon cessation of their appointment, commences a subsequent appointment as a Limited Term Employee or a Continuing Employee in the same position shall be on probation for 4 months. A Short-Term Employee who, upon cessation of their appointment, commences a subsequent appointment as a Limited Term Employee or a Continuing Employee in a different position shall be on probation for 8 months. Any such probationary period can be waived by the Employer.
Short-Term Employees. 1. A Mental Health employee who works eighty-nine (89) days or less will receive the appropriate per diem salary for his/her education experience.
Short-Term Employees. 2 “Short-term employee,” as used in this section, means any person who is employed to perform a service 3 for the district, upon the completion of which, the service required or similar services will not be extended 4 or needed on a continuing basis. Before employing a short-term employee, the governing board, at a 5 regularly scheduled Board meeting, shall specify the service required to be performed by the employee 6 pursuant to the definition of “classification” in subdivision (a) of Section 88001, and shall certify the 7 ending date of the service. The ending date may be shortened or extended by the governing board, but 8 shall not extend beyond 75 percent of a school year. 9 “Seventy-five percent of a college year” mean 195 working days, including holidays, sick leave, vacation 10 and other leaves of absences, irrespective of number of hours worked per day. Employment of either full- 11 time or part-time student in any college work-study program, or in a work experience education program 12 shall not result in the displacement of classified personnel or impair existing contracts for services.
Short-Term Employees. A short-term unit member may be laid off at the completion of the assignment without regard to the procedure set forth in this regulation.
