Accidental Damage Protection. (“ADP”)
(i) liquid spills on the keyboard,
(ii) unintentional bumps or drops from not more than fifteen (15) feet or five (5) meters,
(iii) an electrical surge that damages the product’s circuitry, or failure of the integrated screen, Lenovo will repair or replace (in its sole discretion) the product; provided, however, that the damage to the product is caused by an accident and is unintentional. This Service only covers components installed in your product at the time of purchase, including the internal central processing unit, integrated hard disk drive, integrated optical drive, integrated keyboard, integrated pointing devices, integrated screen, optional features installed by Lenovo at the time of purchase, and other components that Lenovo includes as a standard feature with the product.
a. CRU batteries, light bulbs, memory disks, wire connections, AC adapters, carrying cases or folios, stylus or digitizer pens, cradles, docking stations, port replicators, external keyboards, printers, scanners, external drives, software (preloaded or purchased separately), tapes, CDs, DVDs, film or other media, external modems, external speakers, monitors, external mice or other input/output devices, projectors,
b. any other components not internal to the product, any pre-existing defects in your product that occurred on or before the date of this Agreement, optional features not installed by Lenovo at the time of purchase, accessories purchased in addition to the base unit, third- party products (those not bearing the Lenovo logo) even if sold by Lenovo, products not purchased from Lenovo or any products repaired by anyone other than Lenovo or a service provider authorized by Lenovo.
c. Normal wear and tear of the product;
d. Parts intended to be replaced or consumed - e.g., batteries, stylus, digitizer pen, etc
e. Cosmetic damage (e.g., scratches, dents, or cracks that do not affect the product’s functionality or structural integrity);
i. Damage from abuse, misuse, unauthorized modification, unsuitable physical or operating environments, improper maintenance by anyone other than Lenovo-authorized service providers, removal of original parts or alteration of product or identification labels; L505-0083-00 CAN 03.2019 Page 4
ii. Damage caused by a product not covered under this Agreement or caused by biohazards or human or animal bodily fluids; or
iii. Theft, loss or damage from fire, flood, or natural disaster, war, terrorism, acts of God Purchase Period for ADP: ADP...
Accidental Damage Protection. GCCC has procedures in place to repair the MLD against some accidental damage not covered by the standard warranty. This coverage does not provide for damage caused by fire, theft, loss, misuse, intentional or frequent damage or cosmetic damage. GCCC technicians will service repairs and replacements for defective parts and acts of accidental damage.
Accidental Damage Protection. Pick-up and Return An HP authorized courier will pick up the failed product at Customer site within the geographic location where the service is provided and deliver it to the HP-designated repair facility. Calls must be received before 4:00pm local time, Monday through Friday excluding HP holidays, for same-day pickup, cut-off times may vary based on Customer location. All other calls will be scheduled for next-business-day pickup. The estimated time to repair the product will be provided to you by the HP phone technician on your initial call to HP. Service Limitations The service may be performed at an HP designated repair facility by an HP service professional or other authorized representative. At HP’s discretion, service will be provided using remote diagnosis and support or other service delivery methods, or a combination of remote diagnosis and support and service delivered at the HP designated Repair Center. Other service delivery methods may include the shipment of parts specified as customer replaceable like e.g. floppy drive or ac adapter. HP will determine the appropriate delivery method required. Services such as the following, but not limited to, are excluded from this service: • Recovery of the operating system, other software, and data • Troubleshooting for interconnectivity or compatibility problems • Services required due to failure of customer to incorporate any system fix, repair, patch, or modification provided to the customer by HP • Services required due to failure of the customer to take avoidance action previously advised by HP • User preventative maintenance • Geographic coverage may vary Accidental damage protection does NOT provide coverage for: • Damage caused by failure to provide manufacturer’s recommended maintenance or operating specifications • Damage due to war or nuclear incident, terrorism, unauthorized attempts to repair product, use of damaged or defective media • Data, business interruptions, obsolescence, cosmetic damage, rust, change in color, texture or finish, wear and tear, gradual deterioration • Error in design, construction, machine programming or instructions to the machine • Fraud, fire, theft, unexplained or mysterious disappearance, misuse, abuse or willful act • Alteration or modification of the product in any way Accidental Damage protection is limited to one Accidental Damage Event per year. Accidental Damage Protection. I acknowledge and understand the following information regarding the school laptop Accidental Damage insurance policy: Note: Every ADP claim incurs an excess $50 fee
1. Any claims additional to the single ADP claim allowance may incur further fees.
2. ADP may be claimed when the damage is outside the standard warranty and meets the conditions of the ADP criteria.
3. The plan covers repairs associated with accidental damage caused from drops and falls. It does not cover negligence, abuse or malicious damage.
4. Accidental damage is defined as physical damage to a product caused by or resulting from a sudden and unforeseen incident, provided such damage occurs during regular use.
5. It does not cover: ▪ Loss of the laptop for any reason. ▪ The following situations and damage due to: o Exposure to weather or other environmental conditions o Inappropriate storage including: ▪ Leaving the laptop on top of a school locker ▪ Not locking the student locker ▪ Using non-recommended or defective laptop bags or no bag at all ▪ Leaving on public transport ▪ Leaving the laptop unattended outside ▪ Leaving the laptop behind in the classroom ▪ Damaged or defective LCD screens when the failure is caused by abuse, intent or malicious action. ▪ Reckless, negligent actions such as slamming the lid shut, putting the laptop on the ground, throwing the laptop, carrying the laptop with the screen open. ▪ Damage caused by pets or siblings A copy of the detailed Accidental Damage Protection terms and conditions can be requested by sending an email to the IT department inbox at xxxxxxxxxx@xxx.xxxxxxxx.xxx.xx
Accidental Damage Protection. The Xxxxxx School District has purchased an ADP to protect the devices against accidental damage such as: liquid spills, accidental drops, power surges, and natural disasters. This coverage does not provide for damage caused by fire, theft, loss, misuse, intentional, or frequent damage, or cosmetic damage. Fujitsu will assess the device damage and repair or replace the machine at no cost if the damage is determined to be accidental, infrequent, and within the protection guidelines. Xxxxxx School District’s Technology Coordinator will arrange for service repairs and replacements for detective parts and acts of accidental damage. Please report all device problems to the Technology Coordinator.
Accidental Damage Protection. The Riverton USD 404 School District provides accidental damage insurance to protect the laptops against accidental damage such as: liquid spills, accidental drops, power surges, and natural disasters. If there is a claim or loss, the student and/or parent are responsible for $100 deductible per occurrence. This coverage DOES NOT provide for damage caused by fire, theft, loss, misuse, intentional or frequent damage, or cosmetic damage. The technical support staff will assess the laptop damage and repair or replace the machine if the damage is determined to be accidental, infrequent, and within the protection guidelines. If the loss or damage is not covered by the insurance the student and/or parent will be responsible for the full replacement value of the equipment.

Accidental Damage Protection. If the insured Product suffers Accidental Damage, during the Period of Cover, We will repair or replace the Product subject to the applicable Excess, Policy terms and conditions. The decision to repair or replace the unit lies solely with Us and Lenovo. If the Product is repaired it may be repaired with new or used parts. Any replaced parts will have the same functionality as the original part/s. If Lenovo decides that the Product needs to be Document ID: LENO AD AUS 1014/003 Page 6 of 13 replaced, then We will provide a Replacement Product that may be new or reconditioned. The Replacement Product will have the same functionality as the original Product. The Policy provides for a maximum of two repair claims and one replacement claim per Policy year.
Accidental Damage Protection. The District does not provide Accidental Damage Protection (ADP) for the device. Each family can obtain accidental insurance protection for the device, or verify that personal insurance (e.g. homeowners or rental insurance) is covering the device. Optionally families can elect to buy their own Device (as long as it is an acceptable device as described on the District Technology website).
Accidental Damage Protection. Accidental Damage Protection protects the Renter against unintentional accidental damage during the rental. There is a non-refundable fee for Accidental Damage Protection. If the Renter or a member of Xxxxxx’s party or Xxxxxx’s guest causes damage to real or personal property as a result of unintentional accidental acts or omissions, Renter must immediately notify HVR of damages or losses during the occupancy or Accidental Damage Protection may not apply. Renter is liable to HVR for any damages caused by Renter or a member of Renter’s party or guest that exceed the maximum per-incident limit of Accidental Damage Protection and the credit card on file will be charged. Accidental Property Protection will protect you up to $1,500.00 in unintentional damages to the Property during your stay. Accidental Damage Protection does not cover negligent acts or willful misconduct.
