ACTING ALLOWANCE. 14.1 If an employee is authorized to perform and has performed the function of a higher position than his/her own he/she shall be paid an acting allowance in keeping with the minimum rate of the higher category, which will bring him/her within the range of the salary or rate of the higher post.
14.2 Acting Allowances shall not be payable for acting arrangements of less than five (5) working days duration.
ACTING ALLOWANCE. 1. Where an employee is selected to fill a temporary vacancy within the bargaining unit and where the temporary vacancy is in a higher job classification than the employee's current job classification, the employee shall receive an acting allowance provided she:
(a) continues to fill the vacancy in a higher job classification for eighteen (18) or more continuous working days;
(b) spends more than fifty percent (50%) of her working day on the higher classified job;
(c) performs the major job responsibilities of the higher classified job;
(d) performs the duties of the higher classified job in a satisfactory manner;
(e) is not in receipt of long term disability payments;
(f) is not in receipt of Bank compensated sick leave for any period in excess of the first three (3) working days of such leave; and
(g) is not on vacation or on an unpaid absence.
2. Pursuant to section 1, the acting allowance is payable from the eighteenth (18th) continuous working day in the higher job classification to the completion of the temporary assignment.
3. When a subsequent temporary vacancy occurs and the employee fills the temporary vacancy pursuant to Section 1 for six (6) or more continuous working days and the employee has received an Acting Allowance pursuant to Section 1 for filling that same job within the preceding twelve (12) months, the allowance shall be paid retroactive to the first working day of the subsequent temporary vacancy in the same job.
4. The acting allowance will be an allowance calculated on a pro-rata basis relative to what the employee's promotional increase would be for the higher classified job. This allowance will not be considered a part of the employee's salary.
5. Acting allowance will be paid on the appropriate pay period.
6. Pursuant to Sections 1, 2 and 3, an employee will be paid the appropriate acting allowance subject to Article 13, 14 and 17, section 1.
ACTING ALLOWANCE. When a staff member is appointed to act in a managerial post, he shall be paid an acting allowance of $30 for each day he performs the acting appointment. This acting allowance shall not be considered as basic salary for any purpose whatsoever.
ACTING ALLOWANCE. Where a Fire Officer has been appointed to do the duties of another Fire Officer in a higher rank who is on Vacation or Sick Leave, or on a Training Course or hospitalised, the Officer so appointed will be paid the minimum salary of the rank of the Officer whose duties he is performing, providing that such period is not less than twenty-eight (28) days.
ACTING ALLOWANCE. The Bank shall pay Acting Allowance at RM25.00 per day to an employee who is required to assume for the whole day the total responsibility and performing the full duties of a Class Two Officer or equivalent grade.
ACTING ALLOWANCE. Where an employee is made to act in a position by either acting assignment or formal acting appointment, the employee shall be paid Acting Allowance. No employee shall be asked to act in a position in which he/she does not satisfy the minimum requirements.
ACTING ALLOWANCE. (a) The Bank shall pay Acting Allowance at RM25.00 per day to an employee who is required to assume for the whole day the total responsibility and performing the full duties of a Class Two Officer or equivalent grade.
(b) The Bank shall pay Acting Allowance at RM10.00 per day to non-clerical employees who are required to perform the duties of clerical employees for a minimum aggregate period of four hours in a day.
ACTING ALLOWANCE. (1) A staff member who is promoted to the managerial grade shall receive a salary increase of not less than $500.
(2) When a staff member is appointed to act in a managerial post he shall be paid an acting allowance of $24 per working day.
(3) The acting allowance shall not be considered as basic salary for any purpose whatsoever.
ACTING ALLOWANCE. (1) The Hotel may require an employee to act for the purpose of carrying out all or part of the normal duties, functions and responsibilities of a post higher than the category or grade of the employee's substantive employment.
(2) Where an acting appointment is made in accordance with sub- clause (1) above and provided the acting appointment is for a period of not less than two weeks for Assistant Section Heads and above, an acting allowance shall be payable at the rate of $200.00 a month or a proportionate part thereof.
(3) No acting allowance shall be payable where an employee is acting in a post of the same category or grade as the employee's substantive employment.
ACTING ALLOWANCE. (1) The Hotel may require an employee to act for the purpose of carrying out all the normal duties, functions and responsibilities of a post higher than the grade of the employee’s substantive appointment.
(2) Acting appointment shall only be made to posts or positions at Assistant Manager level or above and appointees shall be drawn from the level immediately below that of Assistant Manager.
(3) Where an acting appointment is made in accordance with sub-clauses (1) and (2) of this clause and provided the acting appointment is for a period of two weeks or more, an acting allowance shall be payable at the rate which represents the difference between the appointee’s salary and the minimum of the higher post up to a maximum of $230 per month, and proportionately for part of a month.
(4) No acting allowance shall be payable when an employee is acting in a post of the same category as the employee’s substantive appointment.
