AFSCME PEOPLE. The Employer agrees to deduct from the wages of any employee who is a member of the Union a PEOPLE deduction as provided for in written authorization. Such authorization must be executed by the employee and may be revoked by the employee at any time by giving written notice to both the Employer and the Union. The Employer agrees to remit any deductions made pursuant to this provision promptly to the Union together with an itemized statement showing the name of each employee from whose pay such deductions have been made and the amount deducted during the period covered by the remittance.
AFSCME PEOPLE. The Board agrees to deduct from the wages of any employee an AFSCME- PEOPLE deduction as provided for in a written authorization. Such authorization must be executed by the employee and may be revoked by the employee at any time. The Board agrees to remit any deductions made pursuant to this provision promptly to the Union together with an itemized statement showing the name of each employee from whose pay such deductions have been made and the amount deducted during the period covered by the remittance. Payroll deductions for AFSCME- PEOPLE shall be made available to employees as follows:
A. AFSCME-PEOPLE payroll deductions shall be made sixteen (16) times a fiscal year for school year employees and twenty (20) times a fiscal year for 12-month employees from the same paychecks that charity payroll deductions are made as published annually in payroll schedules prepared by the Office of the Treasurer.
B. A payroll deduction must be for a minimum of $1.00 and in full dollar increments.
C. When OAPSE is capable of accommodating electric transfer of funds for union dues, AFSCME-PEOPLE, and agency fees for those members and non-members with direct deposit shall be electronically transmitted by the next Columbus City Schools business day following the employee’s pay date. For all others, the transmission shall be by the third Columbus City Schools business day following the employee’s pay date or as soon as possible thereafter.
D. Payroll deduction forms may be submitted to the Office of the Treasurer at any time. The payroll deductions will begin as soon as practical.
E. A bargaining unit member may stop AFSCME-PEOPLE payroll deductions by requesting such in a letter to the Treasurer. Payroll deductions will be canceled as soon as practical after receipt of the letter.
AFSCME PEOPLE. The Employer agrees to deduct from the wages of any employee who is a member of the Union a PEOPLE deduction as provided for in written authorization. Such authorization is voluntary and must be authorized by the employee in writing. The Employer agrees to remit any deductions made pursuant to this provision promptly to the Union together with an itemized statement showing the name of each employee from whose pay such deductions have been made and the amount deducted during the period covered by the remittance. A minimum of five (5) employees must contribute to PEOPLE before this section takes effect. Payroll deductions under ARTICLE 22, Section 1, will be irrevocable for the term of this agreement.
AFSCME PEOPLE. All deductions, except Union dues, will be made over a period of twelve (12) months or prorated if less. Deductions will begin with the first payday of each school year or the first pay date after beginning employment. Additions or deletions in payroll deduction Items 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11 shall occur on the payroll following written notification to the Treasurer/CFO. Notification must be made at least ten (10) work days prior to the payroll date. Annuity companies must have prior Board of Education approval. Changes to Items 1, 2, and 3 may be made during the open enrollment period. As to Association Union dues, except fair share fee, the list for payroll deduction will be turned in to the Treasurer’s office by September 15th with deductions beginning the first pay in October for eighteen (18) consecutive pays. If any member of the Union resigns, retires, or is terminated prior to the payment of his/her total dues, the Board of Education is not responsible for payment of any deficiency and the Union hereby agrees to hold harmless the Board of Education for any delinquent dues amount owed. The Treasurer/CFO of the Board shall forward all dues deducted to the OAPSE State Treasurer along with a list of all payees and the amount paid as required by the OAPSE State Treasurer. A courtesy copy simultaneously shall be provided to the Local President and Local Treasurer. The Local and State OAPSE shall hold the Board, its members, and administration safe and harmless and will indemnify it and its members against any loss it or its members may sustain under this article or any finding for wrongful disbursements by a state or federal agency. AFSCME PEOPLE The Board agrees to deduct from the wages of any employee who is a member of OAPSE, a PEOPLE deduction as provided for in a written authorization. Such authorization must be executed by the employee and may be revoked by the employee at any time by giving written notice to both the employer and the Local OAPSE Treasurer. The employer agrees to remit any deductions made pursuant to this provision promptly to the OAPSE State office in Columbus (Attention: PEOPLE Department) together with a list of said deductions. The union agrees to indemnify the employer for claims, demands, suits and any other form of liability incurred as a result of the implementation and enforcement of this provision. AFSCME PEOPLE. The Treasurer will honor written employee requests to make regular payroll deductions for contributions to AFSCME PEOPLE. Written requests must be received by the Treasurer thirty (30) days in advance. The written authorization may be revoked by the employee at any time by giving written notice to both the Board and the Union. The Board will remit deductions promptly to the Union, along with an itemized statement showing the name and amount for each employee.
AFSCME PEOPLE. A. The Board shall provide payroll deduction for all bargaining unit members who wish to participate in AFSCME PEOPLE provided a minimum of five bargaining unit members apply for the deduction.
B. Such deductions will be pursuant to written authorization executed by the employee which may be revoked at any time and will only be continued as long as there are at least five participants.
C. Deductions shall be made from each pay and remitted to the Union with an itemized statement showing the name of each employee authorizing the deduction and the amount deducted.
AFSCME PEOPLE. Provided that no fewer than five (5) employees so elect, the Board agrees to deduct from the wages of any employee an AFSCME-PEOPLE deduction, provided a written authorization executed by the employee is given to the payroll clerk. The Board agrees to remit any deductions made pursuant to this provision promptly to the Union together with an itemized statement showing the name of each employee from whose pay such deductions have been made and the amount deducted during the period covered by the remittance. Payroll deductions for AFSCME-PEOPLE shall be made available to all employees.
AFSCME PEOPLE. The Board agrees to deduct from the wages of any bargaining unit member who is a member of the Union a PEOPLE deduction as provided for in written authorization provided in a timely manner to the Treasurer's office during the month of October (deductions will begin in the first paycheck of November). New employees may sign up for PEOPLE by the 15th of the following month in which he/she was hired. Such authorization must be executed by the employee and may be revoked by the employee at any time by giving written notice to both the Treasurer and the Union. The Board agrees to remit any deductions made pursuant to this provision in a timely fashion to the State OAPSE Treasurer together with an itemized statement showing the name of each employee from whose pay such deductions have been made and the amount deducted during the period covered by the remittance.
AFSCME PEOPLE. The City agrees to deduct from the wages of any Union Member a P.E.O.P.L.E. deduction as provided for in a written authorization. Such authorization must be executed by the Union Member and may be revoked by the Union Member at any time by giving written notice to both the City and the Union. The City agrees to remit any deductions made pursuant to this provision to: AFSCME P.E.O.P.L.E. Department, 0000 X Xxxxxx, XX, Xxxxxxxxxx, XX 00000 together with an itemized statement showing the name of each employee from whose pay such deductions have been made and the amount deducted during the period covered by the remittance.
