Posting of Work Schedules. Employees at the commencement of their employment and at all times shall be kept advised by their Employer into which employee status they belong.
Posting of Work Schedules. Where appropriate in institutional settings, a four- week schedule shall be posted two (2) weeks in advance. In the event the Agency determines a change in an employee’s work schedule is necessary due to operational needs and when there are two (2) or more employees available and qualified to perform the duties of a specific assignment in the same classification, the Employer, to the extent possible under ordinary circumstances, will assign the least senior employee(s) to the modified schedule. The Agency shall ask for volunteers prior to assigning employees to the modified schedule. An employee shall not be required to change his/her posted schedule solely to avoid the payment of overtime to such employee. In non-institutional settings where the work schedule is fixed, the Agency shall not change an employee’s schedule solely to avoid the payment of overtime.

For the purposes of this Article, LTFT means part-time permanent in the Departments of Mental Health and Addiction Services and Developmental Disabilities. For purposes of administration of this Article, training opportunities and employee leave notices shall not in themselves constitute emergencies. Records regarding work schedules shall be retained for twelve (12) months in each facility. Within a classification, requests for days off will be determined by agency practice. Shift assignments will be established by classification seniority within that classification, except that all bargaining unit members classified as Police Officer 1 and 2 shall use bargaining unit seniority within the respective agency. Employees at work facilities without work schedules shall be notified of special assignments two (2) weeks in advance whenever possible except for unforeseen or mitigating circumstances including emergency situations. Agencies with employees who work shifts shall have shift selection at least once a year or whenever a position is opened up. The Employer will attempt to schedule employees so as to have two (2) consecutive days off. The parties understand that employee cooperation will enhance the implementation of this section. The Unit 2 Association Attorney and management may agree to waive or modify any part of this Article.
Posting of Work Schedules. 15.01 The Employer agrees to have a monthly work schedule posted for all employees no later than the fifteenth (15th) day of the current month for the subsequent month. No employee who is ill, on vacation or on an authorized leave of absence will be required to find a replacement suitable to the Employer for their scheduled shifts during such period.
