Annual Vacation General a) Vacation rates of pay for employees who leave their employ prior to the completion of six (6) months service, shall be dealt with in accordance with the provisions of the Standards Act. Vacation credits will not be applied to cover a statutory holiday which falls on a regular scheduled work day. On retirement, an employee shall be entitled to the vacation earned to the date of retirement. Employeeswho are absent on leave without pay under Article or who are on extended sick leave for a period of more than one (1 ) month's duration, shall not accumulate vacation credits during the period of leave. However, employees on extended sick leave shall, upon their return to work, have their vacation credited on a pro-rated basis based on months worked. Should an employee be on sick leave prior to a scheduled vacation period, and the illness extend into the vacation period, the employee shall be considered to be on sick leave until she returns to work when the vacation period will be rescheduled. Where more than three (3) days are being requested, rescheduling must be accompanied by medical evidence. Should an employee become confined under medical supervision due to a serious illness or injury during her vacation period, it is her responsibilityto notify her Supervisor immediately. If the employee so notifies her Supervisor, the employee shall be entitled to have those vacation days during which she was confined under medical supervision rescheduled, providedshe presents a medical certificate from the attending physician, to her Supervisor on her return. The time of the confinement under medical supervision, whether during or beyond the vacation period, shall be considered as sick leave for purposes of Sick Leave Benefits. Vacation entitlement under Article shall be pro-ratedfor regular part-time employees in the same ratio which their regular schedule bears to a full-time schedule. Vacation pay for casual employees shall be four percent (4%) of the wage of the employee to be calculated and paid on each pay. Employeeswho are on pregnancy and/or parental leave shall not accrue paid vacation credits during the periodof the leave but may be entitled to equivalent unpaid time off on request.   • Annual Vacation Auxiliary employees will be entitled to receive annual vacation at the rate of four percent (4%) of their regular earnings. After one thousand (1,000) days worked, auxiliary employees will be entitled to receive annual vacation at the rate of six percent (6%) of their regular earnings.

  • Annual Vacation Entitlement (a) An Employee shall be entitled to receive annual vacation leave with pay:

  • Split Vacations Where an employee wishes to split her vacation, her second choice of vacation time shall be made only after all other employees concerned have made their initial selection.

  • Paid Vacation Except as otherwise provided in this Article, paid vacation shall be granted no longer than the fiscal year immediately following the fiscal year in which it is earned.

  • Banked Vacation Once every five years an employee may bank one full year's vacation to be taken in conjunction with the next year's vacation. For the purposes of this clause, all vacation in the second year must be taken concurrently.

  • VACATIONS AND VACATION PAY 9.01 All employees who are covered under this Agreement shall receive vacation pay as a percent of the employee's total earnings exclusive of the Employer's contribution to the Union's Pension, Health Benefit Plan, Education and Assistance Fund and Industry Fund. Income tax shall be deducted weekly from the employee's earnings increased by the amount of vacation pay.
