BREAK & MEAL PERIODS. Employees shall be entitled to take one (I) ten (10) minute rest break for each four (4) hours of work performed by such employee in a work day. Such rest break shall be taken after two (2) hours of work, if possible. Unpaid and free of duty, lunch breaks shall be scheduled in one-half or one hour increments based on operational needs. In the event an employee is required to work through a scheduled meal break, the employee will be compensated in accordance with the State law. If the employee is required to eat with the children, meals will be provided by CFCS. Part-time employees scheduled to work six (6) or less consecutive hours during any work day will receive a meal break of not less than thirty (30) minutes. The meal break may be waived at the request of the employee and agreement of CFCS.

BREAK & MEAL PERIODS. Employees shall be entitled to take one (1) ten (10) minute rest break for each four (4) hours of work performed by such Employee in a workday. Authorized rest period time taken shall be counted as time worked. Lunch periods are uncompensated and should be taken away from the Employee's work station. Employees will be relieved of all work duties during the lunch period. Generally Employees will take a 30 minute lunch break. Employees may opt for a one hour lunch provided it is approved by their supervisor. Employees who are scheduled to work part-­‐time, for six (6) hours or less during the day, will have the option to waive their meal period, but must have approval to do so from their Supervisor. The waiver must be signed and filed with the Human Resource Department. The Employee's manager will be responsible for approving any changes in the scheduled lunch period. Employees will not be compensated for their meal breaks unless they are required to work during their breaks. For Employees that by nature of the work prevents them from being relieved of all duty, an “on dutypaid meal break is permitted.
BREAK & MEAL PERIODS. (a) Scheduled work shift of five (5) hours or less, an employee shall be granted a fifteen (15) minute paid rest period to be taken as close as practicable to the midpoint of the scheduled work shift. (b) Scheduled work shift of more than five (5) hours and less than eight (8) hours, an employee shall be granted a fifteen (15) minute paid rest period and a half hour (½) unpaid lunch period to be taken as close as practicable to the midpoint of the scheduled work shift. (c) Scheduled work shift of eight (8) hours, an employee shall be granted two (2) fifteen (15) minute paid rest periods and a half hour (½) unpaid lunch period to be taken as close as practicable to the midpoint of the scheduled work shift. (d) Scheduled work shift of more than eight (8) hours, for the portion of the shift above eight (8) hours the employee shall be granted a fifteen (15) minute paid rest period after every two (2) hours of work. For a scheduled work shift of more than eight (8) hours and less than ten (10) hours, an employee shall be granted three (3) fifteen (15) minute paid rest period and a half hour (½) unpaid lunch period to be taken as close as practicable to the midpoint of the scheduled work shift. For a scheduled work shift of ten (10) hours and less than thirteen (13) hours, an employee shall be granted two (2) fifteen (15) minute paid rest period and two (2) half hour (½) unpaid lunch period fifteen (15) minutes of which shall be paid to be taken as close as practicable to the midpoints of the scheduled work shift.”

  • Meal Periods (a) Meal periods shall be scheduled as close as possible to the middle of the scheduled hours of work. The length of the meal period shall be agreed to at the local level and shall be not less than 30 minutes nor more than 60 minutes. (b) An employee shall be entitled to take their meal period away from the workstation. Where this cannot be done, the meal period shall be considered as time worked.

  • Break Periods There will be no rest periods, organized coffee breaks or other non-working time established during working hours. Individual coffee containers will be permitted at the employee’s work location.

  • Limitation Periods To the extent that any limitation period applies to any claim for payment of the Obligations or remedy for enforcement of the Obligations, the Obligor agrees that: (a) any limitation period is expressly excluded and waived entirely if permitted by applicable law; (b) if a complete exclusion and waiver of any limitation period is not permitted by applicable law, any limitation period is extended to the maximum length permitted by applicable law; (c) any applicable limitation period shall not begin before an express demand for payment of the Obligations is made in writing by the Credit Union to the Obligor; and (d) any applicable limitation period shall begin afresh upon any payment or other acknowledgment of the Obligations by the Obligor.

  • Meal Period Employees shall receive a meal period which shall commence no less than two (2) hours nor more than five (5) hours from the beginning of the employee's regular shift or when the employee is called in to work on their regular day off. The meal period shall be no less than one-half (½) hour nor more than one (1) hour in duration and shall be without compensation. Should an employee be required to work in excess of five (5) continuous hours from the commencement of their regular shift without being provided a meal period, the employee shall be compensated two (2) times the employee's straight-time hourly rate of pay for the time worked during their normal meal period and be afforded a meal period at the first available opportunity during working hours without compensation.

  • Fiscal Periods Change its fiscal year-end to a date other than December 31, or its fiscal quarters to a date other than March 31, June 30, September 30 and December 31.

  • Renewal Periods Renewal of registered names may be made in one (1) year increments for up to a maximum of ten (10) years. For the avoidance of doubt, renewal of registered names may not extend their registration period beyond ten (10) years from the time of the renewal.

  • Retention periods Documentation which serves as evidence of orderly and proper data processing must be retained by ATOSS in accordance with the applicable statutory retention periods beyond the end of the contract. To relieve itself of this obligation, ATOSS may turn said documentation over to the Customer at the end of the contract.

  • Trial Periods Where you take a product or service on a trial basis for a reduced or zero charge for a fixed period, unless otherwise advised to you in writing, you need to give us notice in writing if you wish to cancel the product or service at the end of the trial. If you fail to give us notice then we will automatically invoice you for the product or service at the end of the trial for the remainder of the agreed contract term.

  • Vacation Periods Vacation schedules will be set by the employee’s immediate supervisor(s) and sent to the Office of Human Resources for approval. Employees may request a particular period for vacation. Vacation days may not be taken in advance of their accrual. Those employees who are on a 12-month teacher contract are paid during Spring Break and Winter Recess, however, are not expected to be in attendance or perform duties during those breaks.
