Cadetships. 23.1 IBA may engage cadets under established cadetship schemes.
23.2 Where IBA engages a cadet, it will provide the cadet with remuneration and conditions as required by the relevant cadetship scheme.
23.3 IBA will provide the conditions included in this Agreement to the cadet during any period in which the cadet is working with IBA during the work experience component of their cadetship and may extend some or all of those conditions to also apply during study periods.
23.4 Cadets will be casual employees and will be paid at the IBA Level 1 rate unless the Chief Executive Officer determines otherwise.
23.5 On successful completion of a cadetship, IBA may offer continuing employment to the cadet, subject to the availability of a suitable position for the cadet and satisfactory work performance.
Cadetships. CASA may engage cadets consistent with the arrangements set out in the agreement or Award. Rates of pay for Cadets are specified in Schedule A – Classifications and Salary Levels. Subject to the terms of engagement, Cadets will receive no less than 60% of the minimum CS1 pay point of the applicable classification including Junior rates where applicable Where a scheme provides an employer subsidy, CASA will retain this. Government subsidies paid through CASA may be averaged out over the year.
Cadetships. Professional cadetships may be offered from time to time, where an Employee, or prospective Employee, is pursuing a career in a profession utilised by the City. Professional cadetships will be engaged and paid in accordance with the Local Government Industry Award 2020.
Cadetships. 31.1 Geoscience Australia may engage a person as a cadet on a non‐ongoing basis to facilitate studies and work placements. The policy governing the terms and conditions of a Cadetship resides with the Human Resources section in Geoscience Australia. PART G REMUNERATION 32.1 Employees will be paid fortnightly based on the following formula: Fortnightly pay = Annual Salary x 12
32.2 Salary Pay Points are in clause 82 of this Agreement.
32.3 Employees will have their fortnightly salary paid by electronic funds transfer into the financial institution account, or accounts of their choice.
32.4 On engagement of an ongoing APS employee, he/she will be paid at the minimum Pay Point of the relevant Level of the relevant Band, or as authorised by the Chief Executive Officer.
32.5 Where an employee agrees, in writing, to temporarily perform work at a lower Level, the Chief Executive Officer may determine in writing that the employee shall be paid at a salary rate applicable to the lower Level for the agreed time.
32.6 Where an employee agrees in writing to reduction in classification, an appropriate Pay Point will be determined by the Chief Executive Officer, subject to clause 79.35.
33.1 Junior rates of pay may apply to Band 1 employees, who are less than 21 years of age, where allocated a classification that equates to the APS 1 level. Junior rates are the following percentages of the minimum Pay Point of the Band 1 Level 1: at 17 years and under ‐ 60% at 18 years ‐ 70% at 19 years ‐ 81% Traineeships at 20 years ‐ 91%
33.2 Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in this Agreement, the pay rate applying to an employee undertaking an approved traineeship shall be the pay rate which would apply to the employee under this Agreement for the work being performed by the employee, as if the employee was not undertaking the traineeship.
33.3 Supported salary rates and conditions of employment as set out in clause 40.5 shall apply to an employee with a disability who is eligible for consideration under the Supported Wage System.
Cadetships. Through the life of EA BHSC makes a commitment to investigating and initiating cadetships in areas/positions identified as “hard to fill” in current employment market shortages.

31.4 Cadets will be casual employees and will be paid at the IBA Level 1 rate unless the Chief Executive Officer determines otherwise.
31.5 Cadets will be paid a casual loading as provided under Clause 26 while undertaking the work experience component of their cadetship with IBA.
31.6 On successful completion of a cadetship, IBA will offer continuing employment to the cadet, subject to the availability of a suitable position for the cadet and satisfactory work performance.
Cadetships. 26.1 IBA may engage cadets under established cadetship schemes.
26.2 Where IBA engages a cadet, it will provide the cadet with remuneration and conditions as required by the relevant cadetship scheme.
26.3 IBA may also provide all or some of the conditions included in this Agreement to the cadet, and may limit this to periods in which the cadet is working with IBA during breaks between semesters.
26.4 On successful completion of a cadetship, IBA will offer continuing employment to the cadet, subject to the availability of a suitable position for the cadet and satisfactory work performance during breaks between semesters.
Cadetships. 20.1 The NPARC may engage indigenous cadets under a cadetship scheme administered by the State or Federal Government.
20.2 Where the NPARC engages an indigenous cadet, he or she will be offered continuing employment on successful completion of the cadetship.
20.3 Cadets will receive allowances and other conditions as specified by the State or Federal Government that are applicable to an indigenous cadetship.
20.4 During any work placement cadets will be paid the relevant rate of pay and other entitlements set out in this Agreement.
Cadetships. 23.1 DHA may engage cadets under an established cadetship scheme.
23.2 Where DHA engages a Cadet, the cadet will be engaged at the DHA2 level and will be paid at the minimum annual salary of the DHA2 level as set out at Appendix 1. The cadet will receive the normal rate of pay for their classification when attending DHA for practical training and 60 per cent of this rate when in full-time study.
23.3 Cadet employees will undertake a course of training as determined by the Managing Director.
23.4 On successful completion of a cadetship, DHA may offer continuing employment to the cadet at the DHA3 level, subject to the availability of a suitable vacant position for the cadet and having been assessed at least at the satisfactory level.
Cadetships. 18.1 DHA may engage cadets under an established cadetship scheme.
18.2 Where DHA engages a Cadet, the cadet will be engaged at the DHA2 level and will be paid at the minimum annual salary of the DHA2 level as set out at Appendix 1. The cadet will receive the normal rate of pay for their classification when attending DHA for practical training and 60 per cent of this rate when in full-time study.
