Junior Rates of Pay. 14.1 Junior Employees will be paid a percentage of the applicable adult Ordinary Rate of Pay, as set out in the Schedule.
14.2 In the event that the Australian Fair Pay Commission determines a Special Federal Minimum Wage or an Australian Pay and Classifications Scale which contains basic rates of pay for juniors employed by the Employer, and the Employer is entitled to pay Employees in accordance with same, then the relevant Special Federal Minimum Wage or Australian Pay and Classifications Scale may be applied for junior Employees.
Junior Rates of Pay. The minimum rates to be paid to junior employees shall be the percentage appropriate rate for adults, as set out in Schedule 1 Part A, B and C, calculated to the nearest 5 cents.
Junior Rates of Pay. 16.1 Junior Employees may be paid the following percentage of the appropriate rate as identified in Appendix A. 17 years of age 60% 18 years of age 70% 19 years of age 80% 20 years of age 90%
16.2 Junior rates of pay will not apply to Teachers.
Junior Rates of Pay. 20.1 Junior rates of pay as a percentage of the APS Level 1 classification component shall apply as follows: under 18 years of age - 60% at 18 years of age - 70% at 19 years of age - 81% at 20 years of age - 91%
Junior Rates of Pay. 16.1 The salary of an employee who is younger than 21 years of age and who is employed as an APS1 will be calculated, to the nearest dollar, as a percentage of the minimum salary payable to an adult APS1 according to age as set out in the table in Attachment A Schedule 2.
16.2 The Commissioner may determine that the salary payable to an employee will be at a higher point in the APS1 salary range than in clause 16.1 where the Commissioner believes the employee’s experience, qualifications and skills justify the higher pay point.
Junior Rates of Pay. The Employer believes that junior rates of pay are important to ensure young people are given the opportunity to enter the workforce on an equal basis with experienced adult applicants. On this basis:
(a) Upon successful completion of the 3 month trial period, or at any time following, the Manager of the department in conjunction with the shift supervisor, has the authority to reward any junior employee who he or she believes shows the competence and skill level above their current rate, by advancing their pay level by 6 months.
(b) Further increases over and above the 6 month advance can be granted in special circumstances following discussion with the Group HR/IR Manager.
(c) In addition to the above, all junior employees after 2 years continuous service with the Employer, or having attained 20 years of age, will be paid the appropriate rate of pay for an adult employee in the skill level in which he or she is employed.
Junior Rates of Pay. Employees under the age of 21 years will be paid the following proportion of the relevant minimum adult rate of pay:
Junior Rates of Pay. The rates of pay for Junior employees are applicable to Level 1 non tertiary qualified staff only and shall be as follows: Percentage of appropriate Adult Total Minimum Rate % Under 18 years of age 65 18 and under 19 years of age 75 Junior rates of pay are expressed as a percentage of the appropriate minimum adult rate in Level 1, with the first paypoint in Level 1 reflecting the wage rate upon which the Junior percentages above are calculated. Junior rates shall be calculated in multiples of 10 cents with any result of 5 cents or more being taken to the next highest 10 cent multiple.
Junior Rates of Pay. 14.1 The salary of an employee who is younger than 21 years of age and who is employed as an APS1 or Cadet will be calculated, to the nearest dollar, as a percentage of the minimum salary payable to an adult APS1 or Cadet according to age as set out in the table in Attachment A, Schedule 2.
14.2 The delegate may determine that the salary payable to an employee on engagement will be at a point in the APS1 or Cadet salary range that is higher than the minimum pay point where the delegate determines the employee’s experience, qualifications and skills justify the higher pay point. Where the delegate makes such a determination the percentage rates will not apply.
Junior Rates of Pay. (1) Where an employee under the age of 21 is employed to do a full time comparable job with the same duties and responsibilities as an employee already performing those duties, they will be paid at the adult wage.
(2) If the responsibilities are diminished, TMB retains the right to pay the employee at the appropriate junior wage no less than the relevant scale as detailed in the Banking, Finance and Insurance Award 2010 and in accordance with the table below:
