Campus Closures. (i) Where a Campus is closed due to storms or hazardous conditions, Employees shall not lose salary as a result of such closure. However, such temporary closure shall not be considered a recognized holiday. (ii) Should an exceptional circumstance arise where the College requests an Employee to report to work at a Campus during the temporary closure, and the Employee deems it safe to do so, the College shall provide time off in lieu in recognition of the time worked. (iii) Once conditions improve, Employees with responsibility for restoring services or securing the Campus who were scheduled to work on the day of the temporary closure will be notified by their manager so that they may prepare the premises for all employees to return. Should an Employee choose to be absent once notified, the provisions of clause 38.7 (a) shall apply.

Campus Closures. In the event that the District orders the cancellation of a scheduled assignment due to power failure, bomb threat, fire, or other justified cause as determined by management, unit members shall be compensated without any loss in pay, or usage of any accrued leave. Unit members who are required to work from home due to a campus closure shall be provided with any necessary equipment needed to perform their essential job functions and shall not suffer any repercussions from any loss in productivity while working remotely. The parties will meet and negotiate any impacts and effect of any campus closures that extend for periods longer than one month.
Campus Closures. (a) In the event of an unanticipated campus closure, all employees who were scheduled to work on the day of the closure will be paid for their scheduled hours. Employees who had scheduled a vacation day on the day of the unanticipated closure will continue to treat this day as vacation. (b) If the Employer schedules a University closure, employees shall receive their regular days' pay as if it were a scheduled workday. (c) Where an employee is required to report to or stay at work for operational reasons during any campus closure, they will receive their regular days' pay and be entitled to compensating time off in lieu for all hours worked. Employees shall schedule their compensating time off with the Employer by mutual agreement. (d) This language will not apply to paid holidays as defined in Article 19.1
Campus Closures. On occasion, circumstances require that an ECC campus be closed due to inclement weather or specific on-site occurrences. Decisions to cancel academic classes shall be made by ECC. For students taking both apprenticeship and academic courses, they should follow the class cancellation decisions made individually by each institution; e.
Campus Closures. Campus facilities, including dining halls, will not be available during academic breaks. Xxxxx Xxxxx Students may remain in the residence hall during these periods, but will not have access to facilities.

  • School Closure The following shall apply in the event of an NPS school closure due to an emergency consistent with guidelines followed by LEAs under Education Code Section 41422 and 46392: In the event of a NPS School Closure for the reasons set forth in Education Code section 41422, if the LEA is able to obtain alternative placement for the student, CONTRACTOR shall not receive payment for days the student is not in attendance due to CONTRACTOR’S school closure. If the LEA is unable to obtain an alternative placement, CONTRACTOR shall receive payment consistent with the student’s approved ISA, contingent upon the provision of agreed upon services consistent with the Emergency Circumstances documented in the pupil’s IEP in accordance with Education Code section 56345(a)(9). When the emergency school closure is lifted, CONTRACTOR shall notify the LEAs it serves of any lost instructional minutes. CONTRACTOR and XXXx shall work collaboratively to determine the need for make-up days or service changes, and shall work together to amend IEP and ISA paperwork as appropriate.

  • School Closings In the event of severe weather, or any of the conditions described below, the Superintendent shall give consideration to closing the Xxxxxxx Educational Service Center Building and/or other buildings operated by the Xxxxxxx Intermediate School District and announce such closing(s) to area radio stations prior to 7:30 a.m. In this event, employees assigned to the building(s) that are closed shall not be required to report. Employees assigned to CISD buildings or local school district buildings, that are open are expected to report. If road conditions do not permit, employees must use emergency leave if they are to be paid for that day. In the event that the CISD Service Center is closed due to the conditions described below, and if an employee reports for duty to a residential program (e.g. Calhoun County Youth Center) to which he/she is regularly assigned, that employee will receive an exchange day (where no attendance will be required) on a subsequently scheduled regular work day. Scheduled days and hours of student instruction which are not held because of conditions not within the control of school authorities, including but not limited to inclement weather, utility or power unavailability, water or sewer failure, fire, mechanical breakdowns, or health conditions (as defined by city, county, or state health authorities) will be rescheduled as necessary to ensure instruction as prescribed by Michigan law. Employees shall be excused from reporting for school on those days and hours which are canceled due to the above conditions. Employees will receive their regular pay for days and hours that are canceled but shall work on the rescheduled days and hours with no additional compensation except those employees who, with administrative approval, worked on canceled days shall not be subject to rescheduled days and hours. The parties agree that this contract provision has been negotiated to comply with the provisions of the Revised School Code State School Aid Act and to ensure that the District will incur no loss of state aid. Further, the parties recognize the District's obligation to comply with requirements set forth by the State Board of Education respecting the number of "student instruction" days and hours as defined by that agency. In addition to any requirement of the State Aid Act to receive full state aid, the parties agree to reschedule lost days and hours of student instruction (attributable to the above conditions) to ensure the minimum number of instructional days and hours required by the Department of Education for both regular school year and extended year programs (e.g. 230 day programs). Employees will follow the cancellation and make-up schedule of the K-12 or ISD facility where their assigned office is located. Each employee shall be notified of his/her "assigned" office, for inclement weather purposes, at the beginning of the school year.
