Class Cancellation. 11.1 Notwithstanding Article 10 (Hours and Scheduling), if during any particular quarter a full-time contract or regular teaching faculty employee’s assignment is less than a full load because of a class cancellation due to low enrollment or attendance, the employee shall assume a replacement assignment during the year to complete his or her load. The faculty employee and the appropriate administrator shall meet to mutually agree on assignment(s) to complete the load in accordance with the provisions specified below.
11.1.1 Whenever practicable, the replacement assignment shall occur during the same quarter as the cancelled class.
11.1.2 If necessary, a replacement assignment may be scheduled outside the normal academic workday.
11.1.3 For faculty employees also assigned under Article 7: In Fall quarter only, a faculty employee shall have the option of accepting a replacement assignment or converting an Article 7 assignment to load. In Winter quarter, an Article 7 assignment shall be converted to a replacement assignment for load unless mutually agreed otherwise. If, in Spring quarter no replacement assignment is available, an Article 7 assignment shall be converted to complete full annual load.
11.2 Any contract or regular faculty employee whose assignment is less than a full load because of a class cancellation due to low enrollment shall be required to make up the cancelled assignment no later than the end of the regular academic year as defined in Article 10.
Class Cancellation. 39.9.1 Where a Part time Casual Teacher reports for duty on any day on the basis of a request by an authorised Officer and then is advised that their services are not required or receive less than two hours’ notice of cancellation, the Teacher shall be entitled to receive payment for the scheduled duties.
Class Cancellation. A full refund of all fees paid will be made for classes that are cancelled regardless of length. The refunds will be made to the appropriate agency or student as prescribed above.

12.3 During any regular semester/term, where a class has attained sixty (60) percent of its listed maximum single section class size or twenty (20) students, whichever is less, such class shall continue.
12.3.1 Where, by the sixth day of instruction for the semester/term, a class has not attained sixty (60) percent of its maximum single-section class size or twenty (20) students, such class shall continue if, in the collaborative judgment of the President/Xxxxxxx or designee, Immediate Management Supervisor and the Unit Member, it is projected that by the last day on which students are permitted to petition classes for the instructional period, the enrollment will be the lesser of sixty (60) percent or twenty (20) students.
12.3.2 During any regular semester/term, the District shall maintain registration procedures such that students may petition classes through the fourteenth calendar day of the semester.
12.4 During any intersession, where a class has attained sixty (60) percent of its maximum single-section class size or twenty (20) students, whichever is less, such class shall continue.
12.4.1 Where, by the first day of instruction for the intersession, a class has not attained sixty (60) percent of its maximum single-section class size or twenty (20) students, such class shall continue if, in the collaborative judgment of the President/Xxxxxxx or designee, Immediate Management Supervisor and the Unit Member, it is projected that by the last day on which students are permitted to petition classes for the intersession period, the enrollment will be the lesser of sixty (60) percent or twenty (20) students.
12.4.2 During any intersession, the District shall maintain registration procedures such that students may petition classes through the day immediately preceding the census date for the instructional period.

Class Cancellation. Scheduled classes shall be canceled only after written notification by the appropriate administrator/designee is sent to the instructor. The written notification is to be issued on or around thirty days before the first day of instruction.
Class Cancellation. In the event that the University temporarily cancels classes 24 due to inclement weather, or for other reasons, Extension Lecturers will not be required to make 25 up classes but will cover the missed material in other ways.
Class Cancellation. The decision to continue or discontinue any College Programs or offerings is reserved to the Employer. Departments will be given the opportunity to make recommendations regarding cancellations of classes in certificate or degree Programs. 1. Priority Associates’ loads may be met by assigning classes that would otherwise be assigned to non- Priority Associate Faculty. If a class assigned to a Priority Associate Faculty is canceled or reassigned (to fill a full-time faculty workload), that Priority Associate Faculty shall have a guaranteed minimum 50% workload for one (1) quarter.
2. The guaranteed minimum 50% workload may be met in the following ways: a. Being offered two (2) options of classes from the qualifying course list;
Class Cancellation. Prior to the date for division submission of quarterly final course construction to the lead academic officer, changes can be made to the schedule without classes being considered canceled. Any classes removed after that date will be considered canceled. The process for determining if a class has been canceled versus being removed from the schedule is as follows:
1. The date for division submission of quarterly final course construction to the lead academic officer will be provided to the Federation and faculty at the same time the timeline is provided to the unit administrators and support staff.
2. The College will provide written notification to the Priority Associate faculty and the Federation that the reason a low enrolled class is being allowed to go is due to the invocation of Article XXII (Priority Associate Faculty) Section D (Class Cancellation) no later than five (5) college business days before the start of the quarter, or, for winter quarter, no later than the first day the college is open after the scheduled winter break closure if fewer than five (5) college business days before the start of winter quarter.
