Cash out of Personal Leave. At the end of each school year, an employee may elect to cash out up to three (3) unused personal leave days at his or her current per diem rate of pay. All cash out requests must be submitted on the appropriate form to Payroll by July 10th of any given year, or June 10th if the employee’s final payroll will be in June.

Cash out of Personal Leave on Termination After 10 Years
Cash out of Personal Leave. 11.4.1 Subject to this clause and the provisions of the Act, an employee may elect to forgo a portion of his/her paid personal leave entitlement and receive payment in lieu for the amount of leave foregone. 11.4.2 An employee may not forgo more than 38 hours personal leave in any 12 month period between 1 December in one year and 30 November in the following year.
Cash out of Personal Leave. The parties to his agreement agree to introduce a cash-out of Personal leave incentive scheme on the following basis: i. Employees may opt to cash out their un-taken personal leave, in respect to any one years balance, in part or whole, provided they maintain a minimum personal leave balance of 15 days per annum (‘the bank’). Annual balances will accrue as per the entitlements set out in Clause 17 of this agreement. ii. Personal Leave that has been cashed out by the employee can in no way be claimed, or retaken, as personal leave. iii. Cashing out of personal leave will only occur where the employee has requested the cashing out in writing in accordance with the employers procedure and the employer has agreed to the cashing out. Such agreements will be on a case by case basis. iv. Claims for cash out of personal leave entitlement may be retrospective from the date of this agreement. v. All employees covered by this agreement will be eligible for this scheme unless the employee: • Has not accumulated a minimum of 15 Days unused personal leave as of their anniversary date • Is on performance notice or is undertaking performance counselling • Is the subject of a performance or serious misconduct investigation vi. Subject to legal compliance and provisions above employees may opt to salary sacrifice into their superannuation account their cashed in personal leave either annually and or on termination. An employee must make a written request 2 weeks prior to 30th November in any year if they wish to exercise this option.
Cash out of Personal Leave. A current Employee may cash out their personal/carer’s leave providing the following conditions are satisfied: (i) the Employee must maintain a balance of one year’s accrual (105 hours) after the leave is cashed out; (ii) on each occasion where the Employee cashes out their personal/carer’s leave, there must be a separate signed application form by the Employee and a signed acceptance by the Company; and (iii) the rate at which the leave is paid to the Employee will be paid as if the Employee had taken the leave in accordance with their Classification Level and corresponding Aggregate Hourly Rate. If the above conditions are satisfied the Company will make the relevant payment to the Employees nominated bank account (by EFT) by the first pay period after 31 March each year.

  • Personal Leave Written request for a personal leave of absence without pay will be considered on an individual basis by the Hospital. Such requests are to be submitted to the employee's immediate supervisor at least four (4) weeks in advance, unless not reasonably possible to give such notice, and a written reply will be given within fourteen (14) days except in cases of emergency in which case a reply will be given as soon as possible.
