CELL PHONE USE. Teachers shall have personal cell phones on silent or vibrate mode during student contact time and shall refrain from using them except in cases of emergency.

If there is a re-occuring offense, the parents will be notified and will have to pick up the phone. When the administration confiscates a phone, it will be kept in the main office.

CELL PHONE USE. 23.1 OPIRG offers a taxable allowance for cell phone service to its Employees whose duties and responsibilities require them to carry cell phones. 23.2 Employees required to carry a cell phone for OPIRG business will receive compensation in the form of allowance. The Employer at each workplace must authorize the cell phone allowance. 23.3 The cell phone and cell phone service is personally owned by the Employee and may therefore be used for both personal and business calls. An Employee with a cell phone allowance must maintain an active cell phone contract for the life of the allowance 23.4 A cell phone allowance will be paid through payroll and is subject to all employment taxes. 23.5 Cell phone allowance can be issued to alleviate the cost of the monthly plan. The Employer and the Union shall mutually agree upon a reasonable allowance that shall not exceed $100 per month. 23.6 The Employee is personally responsible for the purchase of the cell phone equipment and the monthly plan, including taxes for the phone used for OPIRG business. 23.7 If an, Employee´s misconduct, personal decision, or misuse of the phone results in the need to change or end the cell phone contract prior to an end of a cell phone contract, the Employee will bear the cost of any associated termination and unit fees. 23.8 If an OPIRG Chapter decision is made which results in the need to change or end the cell phone contract prior to the end of the cell phone contract period, the OPIRG Chapter will bear the cost of any associated contract and unit termination fees.

CELL PHONE USE. Except during designated break periods or as otherwise allowed by the Rehearsal Director (for recording or review of choreography, etc.), cellphones and other electronic devices must be off, out of sight, and not used during all rehearsals. However, when an Artist’s role is not being rehearsed for an extended period of time, cellphones and other electronic devices may be used for work purposes (checking schedule or schedule changes, coordinating with other Ballet Hispanico departments, etc.), but not for verbal conversations.
CELL PHONE USE. It is a violation of California State Motor Vehicle code 23123 & 23123.5 CVC to drive a vehicle while talking on a cellphone without a hands-free Bluetooth device. Driver must always follow such law except in a life-threatening emergency situation.
