Christmas Close Down. 2.8.1 The enterprise may require that during the Christmas / New Year and Easter period there is a close down for such period as is agreed between them.
2.8.2 Such period may be inclusive of rostered days off, public holidays and annual leave.
2.8.3 Should there be a need to service clients by programming work during what had previously been determined to be a close down period the enterprise and its employees will discuss the appropriate method of arranging the work and agree on alternate leave arrangements.
2.8.4 Notwithstanding anything else, an employer may require any employee to work during this period, provided reasonable alternative leave arrangements are made.
2.8.5 Where employees who have not accrued the pro rata annual leave prior to commencement of any Christmas / New Year close down period such employee may be stood down without pay during such period.
Christmas Close Down. Where the Company at its discretion decides to close down its establishment during the Christmas - New Year period and requires all, or the majority, of its Employees to take annual leave, the Company shall give at least two months' notice to its Employees of its intention to do so. Employees who have not accrued sufficient pro rata annual leave prior to the commencement of any Christmas/ New Year close down period may be stood down without pay during such period.
Christmas Close Down. The Employer may require annual leave to be taken during a Christmas close-down.
Christmas Close Down. At the close of business on the day preceding Christmas Day the agency will close and will re-open the first business day following New Year's Day without loss of pay. For part time employees pro-rata pay shall apply.
Christmas Close Down. Where the City closes down all or any part of the business for the period between Christmas (25 December) and New Year (1 January) inclusive, Employees may be required to take accrued annual leave. If Employees do not have any annual leave accrued they will be required to take leave without pay.
Christmas Close Down. The Company may direct its Employees to take annual leave during the Christmas / New Year period. New Employees that have not yet accrued the sufficient annual leave balance for the close down period will be paid for the full period and allowed to re-accrue the hours used during their employment.
Christmas Close Down. The APS Commission offices will be closed for normal business purposes during the period from 25 December to the first working day following 1 January (the Christmas close-down period).
Christmas Close Down a) If the City observes a Christmas close-down for 1 or more sections of its workforce, the City may require an employee to take annual leave in not more than 2 periods. The period of annual leave may be less than 1 week. Alternatively, at its discretion, the City will provide employees with 3 months notice of the close down so that an accumulation of banking of hours can occur to cover this period of absence.
b) If the employee does not have sufficient annual leave or banked hours accrued, the employee is required to take leave without pay.
c) In extraordinary circumstances the City may agree in writing for annual leave to be taken in advance on condition that if employment is terminated by either party, monies will be paid back to the City equivalent to the annul leave taken in advance but not accrued. The City will deduct monies from the employee‟s final termination payment or, if there are insufficient entitlements, the employee will undertake to payback the City within 1 month of termination of employment.
Christmas Close Down. 54.1 The parties agree to the removal of Christmas closedown provisions in the PSMA Standards.
