CLASSROOM RELOCATION. When a teacher is required to relocate to another classroom during the year, the principal and teacher will collaborate to develop a plan for a smooth transition. If the administrator requires that the move be made after contract hours, the teacher will be paid his/her hourly rate of pay.

CLASSROOM RELOCATION. 1. When a teacher is required to relocate her/his classroom due to major capital project she/he will be provided one (1) day in lieu for the initial move with the board paying the cost of the TTOC. As well the board will pay for one (1) day in lieu with the board paying the cost of the TTOC when the teacher is returned to her/his classroom upon the completion of the major construction project. 2. The days in lieu shall be taken within one (1) year of the notification of a move. 3. The scheduling of the days in lieu must be agreed to by the principal. 4. Days in lieu will only be granted in one day increments. (eg. A request for a lieu day for time off that is less than one day will count as one lieu day). 5. Such classroom changes will be supported with moving materials such as boxes and tape and shall be assisted by cartage to transport the materials from one site or classroom to another.
CLASSROOM RELOCATION. Anytime a unit member moves his/her classroom either within the building or between buildings, custodial and maintenance help shall be provided to assist in the move.
CLASSROOM RELOCATION. In the event that a Teacher is required to relocate to another classroom after the beginning of the school year, the Teacher will be entitled to two (2) days of release time for that purpose. Within five (5) days of notification of relocation, the Teacher shall request that two (2) days of release time be scheduled.

It shall be the responsibility of the custodial staff to transport materials and equipment to the new location. Teachers who expend non-school days to accomplish their relocation shall be compensated for one day at the rate established for substitute teachers.

  • Job Training ‌ The Employer and the Union shall establish a Joint Committee on Training and Skill Upgrading for the following purposes: (1) for planning training programs for those employees affected by technological change; (2) for planning training programs to enable employees to qualify for new positions being planned through future expansion or renovation; (3) for planning training programs for those employees affected by new methods of operation; (4) for planning training programs in the area of general skill upgrading.
