Coaching Leave. A coach may be granted a one (1) year leave of absence from coaching with Board approval. After the year's leave of absence, the coach will be able to return to his/her former coaching position. Salary steps will not be accrued during this leave.

Coaching Leave. 13.10.1. Upon approval of the appropriate administrator or the District, a unit member who has been a coach for five (5) consecutive years may request a temporary leave from their coaching assignment for a maximum of one year.
Coaching Leave. Employees shall be granted up to three (3) days (prorated by FTE) leave for head coaches and up to one (1) day leave (prorated by FTE) for assistant/volunteer coach per school calendar year from their regular work schedule without loss of pay for the purpose of coaching a district sponsored league game, including travel to and from said event. This leave must be pre-approved by the employee's site/department supervisor and the District. This provision does not extend to practices or routine meetings.
Coaching Leave. Any RESA member hired to coach a sport in the Riverdale School District shall be treated as any other coaches in the school district; meaning if the sport they are coaching goes to Regionals, Sectionals, or State during school hours and the RESA member must miss regular work time to attend these events with their team; they will be paid for their regular work time away without having to use their own personal time or without a deduction from their coaching pay.
