CONFERENCE AND EDUCATIONAL LEAVE. The County Administrator may grant conference leave with pay, together with the necessary travel expenses, in order that full time employees may attend conferences and schools designed to improve their efficiency, if considered to be in the best interest of the County. Time and expenses will be recommended by the department/division director subject to approval of the County Administrator or designee in accordance with established administrative procedures.

CONFERENCE AND EDUCATIONAL LEAVE. When deemed in the best interest of the County and as directed by the employee's Department Director/or designee, an employee may be granted leave with pay to attend professional and technical institutes, conferences, or other such meetings, which may contribute to the effectiveness of the employee's service to the County. All such leave and travel expenses shall be recommended by the Department Director/or designee for the approval. Any overtime as a result of such leave will be compensated as required by the Fair Labor Standards Act.

  • Educational Leave Leave without pay may be granted for educational leave for the duration of actual attendance in an educational program.

  • Paid Educational Leave a. An employee may request special paid leave at straight-time hourly rate which may be granted employees for educational purposes which will benefit the State by adding to or strengthening employee skills or knowledge and to allow employees to attend approved conferences, professional meetings and workshops.

  • Unpaid Educational Leave After one (1) year of continuous employment, permission shall be granted for leave of absence for a maximum of one (1) year without pay for study, without loss of accrued benefits.

  • Professional Leaves 1. Professional Leaves are to be used by an employee to gain knowledge for the position contracted through Bath Local Schools. The employee must request Professional Leave through the employee kiosk. Upon approval, the employee may be permitted to attend the Professional Meeting and will be paid at the regular rate.

  • Training and Education SECTION 1 – Law Enforcement Supervisors’ Training The state and the PBA recognize the importance of supervisor training programs to develop management skills in our law enforcement supervisors. The state will make a reasonable effort to continue existing training programs in law enforcement techniques and to develop new programs in performance review techniques, supervisory skills, and managerial techniques.

  • Professional Leave Professional leave without pay will be granted to full-time and regular part- time employees who are elected to or appointed to the College of Nurses or the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario or the Registered Practical Nurses’ Association of Ontario to attend regularly scheduled meetings of the College of Nurses or the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario or the Registered Practical Nurses’ Association of Ontario subject to the following limitations:
