Trainee is an individual who is a signatory to a training agreement registered with the relevant State or Territory Training Authority and is involved in paid work and structured training which may be on or off the job. Trainee does not include an individual who already has the competencies to which the traineeship is directed.
Trainee a. An “Internal” TRAINEE shall be an employee who holds a regular position with Hennepin County. An “Internal” TRAINEE will maintain all seniority, benefit levels, and the right to return to a position in their pay class subject to the seniority rights and layoff provisions. “Internal” TRAINEEs will be paid at the entry-level TRAINEE salary of the class for which they are training, or at their existing salary, whichever is greater.
b. Each TRAINEE program shall specify the maximum length of time a TRAINEE may participate in the program.
Trainee. Employees undertaking an approved traineeship registered with the relevant government department and is involved in structured on or off the job training.
Trainee. An employee establishing seniority as a Trackman on or after January 1, 1982. Such employee shall be regarded as a Trainee until they become fully qualified as a Track Maintainer after which they will be regarded as a Regular Employee.
Trainee. It is recommended that trainees take out third-party liability insurance themselves as private individuals. Trainees should verify whether accident insurance has been taken out for them by their work-placement provider and/or educational institution.
Trainee. A trainee shall be a person who by virtue of past experience and/or education had demonstrated an ability to learn or adapt but who has not gained the skills required for his proposed classification.
Trainee. A Trainee Postal Delivery Officer who is performing Postal Delivery Officer duties will be paid the divide allowance prescribed in 14.2.1.
Trainee. If a new hire cannot complete the qualifications according to the following schedule, they will be terminated. If an existing employee bids to the job but despite his/her best efforts he/she cannot complete the qualifications according to the schedule, the Company will consider alternatives to termination including an extension of the training period or reassignment to his/her prior position for which he/she is qualified.

Trainee. An animal undergoing training to become a service animal. Trainees are permitted on District property, in accordance with regulations addressed above. A trainee will be housebroken and fully socialized. To be fully socialized means the animal will not, except under rare occasions, bark, yip, growl, howl, or make any type of disruptive noises; will have a good temperament and disposition; will not show fear; will not be upset or agitated when it sees another animal; and will not be aggressive. A trainee will be under the control of the handler at all times, who may or may not have a disability. If the trainee begins to show improper behavior, the handler will act immediately to correct the animal or will remove the animal from District property.
