Continuing Education Courses. The faculty member will follow the same approval procedure as in the case of undergraduate courses and will provide transcript or appropriate certification of completion within ninety (90) calendar days after completion of the coursework. Approved continuing education courses will be equated at one-third (1/3) of the CEU earned.
Continuing Education Courses. Permanent employees whose positions require licensure will be allowed to take continuing education courses for licensing requirements or professional development subject to the following:
49.3.1 Release Time Requests for paid release time for continuing education courses for licensing requirements or professional development are subject to the University’s approval of course content, available resources and scheduling requirements. In reviewing requests for release time, the University will give priority to requests for time to attend continuing education programs that are required to maintain licensure.
Continuing Education Courses. (a) Employees in allocated positions are eligible for Continuing Education Courses (CEC). Those courses taken on County time must be directly related to an employee's present position, or career advancement within the present department, and be subject to approval by the employee's appointing authority.
(b) In the event the State of California mandates continuing education to retain licensure, the parties agree to meet and confer regarding Section 16.5 to include payment, the issue of work time, and implementation of an In-service agreement.
Continuing Education Courses. Workload clauses shall not apply to Continuing Education general credit and non-credit courses.
Continuing Education Courses. Continuing Education for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Medical Technologists (MTs), Physician Assistants/Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners (Pas/ARNPs) and Registered Nurses (RNs) – Upon request, permanent LPNs, MTs, PAs/ARNPs and RNs will be allowed to take continuing education courses for licensing requirements or professional development.
Continuing Education Courses. The provisions of Section 2(a) and 2(b) apply; however, those courses where financial assistance is sought must be job related.
4. Approved Courses of Study or Special Training Offered by Universities, Colleges, Technical Institutions, Trade Schools, and Recognized Correspondence Schools:
Continuing Education Courses. 5.1 When a course in Continuing Education is being planned, but in any case before a person to teach the course is hired, the University shall notify Department Chairs annually that such a course is contemplated. Department Chairs shall then forward this information to the members of their Departments.
Continuing Education Courses. I understand and agree that I must pay in full the amount of any fees, tuition, and other miscellaneous charges incurred in connection with my enrollment upon registration for continuing education courses. Financial Aid Students: I understand and agree that I may defer the payment of tuition, fees, and/or books until after the final financial aid is disbursed. I also understand that if Financial Aid does not cover the total cost of tuition, fees, and/or books, the balance must be paid within ten (10) days of the final Financial Aid Disbursement. I understand I may be subject to late charges and collection costs if I fail to comply in a timely manner with the payment obligations of this Agreement. RETURNED PAYMENTS

Continuing Education Courses. 24.01 The Employer agrees to pay fees for continuing education courses as follows:
(a) Courses must be employment related and approved in writing by the Employer in advance.
(b) Employer will pay 100% of course fees, books and materials upon successful completion of course.
