Detective Clothing Allowance. Employees assigned to plain clothes Detective positions shall receive an annual allowance paid through payroll of eight hundred fifty dollars ($850.00).
Detective Clothing Allowance. 48.1: Each employee employed as full-time detective will be reimbursed for clothing up to $500 per year, if such reimbursement is not taxable. If the clothing allowance is found to be taxable, it will be increased by 30% to $650 per year to be paid as follows: $325 on the first payday in December and $325 on the first payday in June of each year.
Detective Clothing Allowance. In lieu of uniforms, detectives shall receive up to Four Hundred Dollars ($400) clothing allowance each January for the prior year. This amount shall be prorated if not employed for the entire year based on a monthly proration. Payment of the clothing allowance shall be made upon the presentment of vouchers, verifying the clothing purchases, by the employee.
Detective Clothing Allowance. Each employee assigned as a detective shall be paid a clothing allowance of $1,000 per fiscal year (pro rata if assigned as a detective for less than a full fiscal year), one-half to be paid in May and the other half in November. In order to receive reimbursement, the employee must submit vouchers evidencing purchase of clothing.

The allowance will be paid on the initial date of the detective assignment, and annually thereafter. It shall be the responsibility of the Association Member assigned to the position to request the annual allowance on or after their anniversary in the position. In the event the Association Member voluntarily assumes a different position within Department a monthly pro rata share of the allowance shall be returned to the City.

48.2: Detective Bureau On-call – Detectives shall be assigned to on-call duty on a weekly basis and shall receive as compensation for such on-call duty eight (8) straight time hours, or compensatory time, per seven (7) day on-call period, at the option of the employee.

Detectives who are permanently assigned, including Youth Officers and Narcotics Officers, shall receive an annual $200.00 clothing allowance which will be pro-rated and paid quarterly. Detectives who are temporarily assigned, being defined as those assigned to the detective rank for a period of ninety (90) days or less, or part-time detectives shall not be eligible for any clothing allowance.
