Displacement of Vacation. Where, in respect of any period of vacation leave, an employee is: Granted bereavement leave; or Hospitalized for two (2) or more days in succession and verified by a medical doctor; or Confined due to illness for a duration of more than three (3) days, as verified by a medical doctor; or On sick leave immediately prior to commencing their scheduled vacation and such illness continues into the period of scheduled vacation, as verified by a medical doctor. The period of vacation so displaced by any of the aforementioned shall either be added to the vacation period requested by the employee and approved by the Employer or reinstated for use at a later date.
