DRUG AND ALCOHOL PROGRAM. 231 Purpose: Employees are the Board’s most valuable resource, and for that reason their safety and health is of paramount concern. The Xxxxxx City Schools Board of Education maintains a strong commitment to its employees to provide a safe workplace and to establish programs promoting high standards of safety and health. Consistent with the spirit and intent of this commitment, the board expects employees to report for work in proper condition to perform their duties. One intent of this program is to prevent the use of or the possession of drugs and alcohol in the working environment or arrival at work with them in the employee’s system. Use of these substances poses a serious threat to the health and safety of all employees. This provision is intended to allow the Board to adopt a policy and implement a program that complies with the minimum requirements for the Bureau of Workers Compensation’s Xxxxx 0 Xxxx Xxxx Xxxxxxxxx Program.
DRUG AND ALCOHOL PROGRAM. It is the policy of both the signatory Employers and the Union to eliminate, insofar as it is possible, the safety and health hazards associated with drug and alcohol use as it relates to the performance of work covered by this Agreement. To that end, pre-hire drug and alcohol testing is permitted and the following after-hire program is established:
A. An employee whose work performance and/or behavior indicates that he/she is under the influence of alcohol or drugs may be required by the Employer to submit to drug and/or alcohol testing at the Employer's expense to determine his/her fitness to remain on the job.
B. Reasonable grounds to believe that an employee is under the influence of alcohol or drugs, includes abnormal coordination, appearance, behavior, speech or odor.
C. Employees required to take a test shall be taken by a company employee to the nearest qualified hospital or nearest qualified testing facility where such test shall be taken.
D. If the test confirms the belief that the employee's work performance is impaired by the use of alcohol or drugs, the Employer may discipline such employee up to and including discharge.
E. In the event the employee is discharged for drug or alcohol impairment, the Employer shall notify the Union in writing recommending that such employee be counseled to seek rehabilitative assistance.
F. If the employee's test results indicate that he/she was not impaired by drug or alcohol use, the employee shall be returned to the job and paid for any lost time.
G. Refusal to submit to a test upon the reasonable request of the Employer shall subject such employee to immediate termination.
H. Impairment resulting from drugs prescribed by a licensed California physician as part of the course of treatment shall not be cause for discharge pursuant to this policy.
I. Any employee who successfully completes an alcohol or drug rehabilitation program
J. As this policy implements a pilot program, either the Union or the Employer may upon thirty (30) days written notice request that this Section be reopened for further modification as experience warrants.
K. If a different Drug and Alcohol policy is agreed to by the Union it will be adhered to at the job sites where it is applicable.
DRUG AND ALCOHOL PROGRAM.
37.01 Educational Programs Provided The BOARD will provide an educational program to help employees appreciate the problems associated with the use of controlled substances, drugs or alcohol.
DRUG AND ALCOHOL PROGRAM. During the performance of this Agreement Contractor agrees to implement a drug and alcohol program that is compliant with 49 CFR Parts 653 and 654, produce any documentation necessary to establish its compliance with Parts 653 and 654, and permit any authorized representative of the United States Department of Transportation, the California Department of Transportation, or SANDAG to inspect the facilities and records association with the implementation of the drug and alcohol testing program, as required under Parts 653 and 654, and review the testing process.
DRUG AND ALCOHOL PROGRAM. A. Develop and manage an outpatient substance abuse treatment program to objectively determine:
1. Presence of substance abuse and/or addiction
2. Secure a verification of disability when appropriate
B. Administer an Assessment Severity Index (ASI) to objectively determine presence of substance abuse and/or addiction
C. Write an appropriate, individualized alcohol and other drug treatment plan that includes an array of ancillary services, for STEP participants found to need treatment, in consultation with:
1. County Alcohol and other Drug Programs (AODP) 2. FSP General Assistance treatment program 3. HHSA Behavioral Health and Recovery Services (BHRS)
DRUG AND ALCOHOL PROGRAM. PRE-JOB CONFERENCE — On all jobs over 3,500 U.A. hours, there shall be a Pre-Job Conference.
DRUG AND ALCOHOL PROGRAM. Employees will comply with Transdev’s Drug and Alcohol Policy. Any changes to this policy will be presented to the Union a minimum of 14 business days prior to implementation.
DRUG AND ALCOHOL PROGRAM. In cases where there is reasonable cause (such as staggering, slurred speech, impaired performance, or frequent major accidents, which shall be any individuals requiring medical attention beyond that of plant first-aid, or minimal damage to company property) to believe that an employee is under the influence of unauthorized controlled substance(s), the supervisor will meet with that employee and Department Union Xxxxxxx to determine the cause/solution to the immediate problem. The Supervisor will determine if a drug or alcohol test is necessary If the results of this drug test are positive (confirmed by an independent laboratory of the Company's choice) that employee will be subject to the following disciplinary action:

DRUG AND ALCOHOL PROGRAM. Section 8.01 The Xxxxxxx & XxXxx, Inc. Drug and Alcohol Program is incorporated by reference into this Agreement, adherence to which is a continuing condition of employment. If a customer of Employer utilizes a drug and alcohol program with more stringent standards, adherence to the more stringent standards will be a continuing condition of employment.
