DUES DEDUCTION FROM SALARY. 1. The Board agrees to, deduct item the salaries of its employees dues for the Egg Harbor City Education Association, the Atlantic County Council of Education Associations, the New Jersey Education Association, and the National Education Association, as said employee individually and voluntarily authorizes the Board to deduct Employee authorizations shall be made in writing. 2. Such deductions shall be made in compliance with Chapter 310, F.L of 1967, N.J.S.A. 52:14-15.9e, and under rules established by the State Department of Education, Said monies, together with records of any corrections, shall be transmitted to such person as may from time to time he designated by the Egg Harbor City Education Association by the fifteenth (15th) of each month following the month in which the deductions are made. The person designated shall disburse such monies to the appropriate Association or Associations. The Association shall be responsible for the reconciliation of the records. 3. Each of the associations named above shall certify to the Board, in writing, the current rate of its membership does. Any association which shall change the rate of its membership dues shall give the Board written notice prior to the effective date of such change. 4. Additional authorization for dues deductions may be received after August 1 under rules established by the State Department of Education. 5. Any written authorization for dues deductions may be withdrawn by the employee at any time by the filing of notice of such withdrawal with the Board. The filing of notice of withdrawal shall be effective to halt deductions as of January 1 or July 1 next succeeding the date on which notice of withdrawal is filed.

The Board agrees to deduct from bargaining unit members' salaries money for local, state and/or national association services and programs as said bargaining unit members individually and voluntarily authorize the Board to deduct and to transmit the monies promptly to the respective treasurers of the Sagadahoc Education Association and the Maine Education Association. B. The Association shall certify to the Board in writing, the current rate of local, state and national member dues. In the event any association changes the rate of its membership dues, the local association shall give the Board and its membership written notice prior to the effective date of such change. C. The Association and its members waive all rights and claims on RSU1 for the money deducted and transmitted to the Association in accordance with this provision, and relieves the Board of any liability therefore. D. Dues deductions shall continue automatically from year to year unless canceled in writing by the bargaining unit member during the last week in August preceding the school year in which the cancellation becomes effective.

In the event the Association changes the rate of its membership dues, the local Association shall give the Board and the Association membership written notice prior to the implementation of such change and prior to the above date. DUES DEDUCTION FROM SALARY. The Board agrees to deduct dues and/or supplemental contributions from the salaries of the employees for the Xxxxxx Education Association, the Xxxxxx County Council of Education Associations, the New Jersey Education Association or the National Education Association, or any one or any combination of such associations as said employees individually and voluntarily authorize the Board to deduct. Such deductions shall be made in compliance with Chapter 310, Public Laws of 1967 (NJSA 52:14-15.9e) and under rules established by the State Department of Education. Said monies together with records of any corrections shall be transmitted by the Payroll Supervisor to NJEA, utilizing NJEA documents, by the 15th of each month following the monthly pay period in which deductions were made. Employee authorizations shall be in writing utilizing official NJEA forms. Any withdrawal of a member from the Association will follow timelines and procedures as provided by NJEA.
DUES DEDUCTION FROM SALARY. The Board agrees to deduct from the salaries of its employees dues for the membership in the Learning Community Charter Education Association, Xxxxxx County Education Association, New Jersey Education Association and National Education Association, as said employees individually and voluntarily authorize the Board to deduct. Such deductions shall be made in compliance with Chapter 233, Public Laws of 1969 (NJSA 52:14-15.9e) and under such rules established by the State Department of Education. Said monies, together with records of any corrections, shall be transmitted to the treasurer of the Association by the 30th of each month following the monthly pay period in which deductions were made. The Association treasurer shall disburse such monies to the appropriate Association or Associations. B Certification of Dues Each of the Associations named above shall certify to the Board, in writing, by September 1 of each year, the current rate of its membership dues. Any Association which shall change the rate of its membership dues shall give the Board written notice sixty (60) days prior to the effective date of such change.
DUES DEDUCTION FROM SALARY. The Board agrees to deduct from the educational support employees, money for local, state and/or national association services and programs, and to transmit the money promptly to such associations. Authorization shall be continuous unless an employee revokes such authorization in writing to the Association (with a copy to the Board) between August 15th and September 15th of any year. The Association shall certify to the Board in writing the current rate of local, state and national member dues. In the event any association changes the rate of its membership dues, the local association shall give the Board and its membership written notice prior to the effective date of such change. The Association shall indemnify and hold the Board, its individual members, District, its employees and the Superintendent completely harmless against any and all claims, demands, suits or liability of any nature whatsoever that may arise out of or by reason of actions taken or not taken by the District as a result of the dues deduction provisions of this Article.

Principals and Supervisors association as said unit members individually and voluntarily authorize the Board to deduct utilizing NJPSA Dues Deduction Forms. Such deductions shall be made in compliance with Chapter 310, Public Laws of 1967 (NJSA 52:14-15.9e) and under rules established by the State Department of Education. Said monies shall be transmitted to the NJ Principals and Supervisors Association by the fifteenth (15th) of each month following the monthly pay period in which deductions were made.

DUES DEDUCTION FROM SALARY. The RSU 23 School Department will deduct dues for the RSU 23 Education Association, the Maine Education Association, and the National Education Association as authorized in writing by each individual teacher. Local Association dues will be transmitted promptly to the Treasurer of the RSU 23 Education Association and MEA and NEA dues will be transmitted promptly to the MEA, each with the proper accounting to indicate the amount deducted from individual teachers.

Salary Deduction Authorization: I hereby authorize the Board to deduct annual dues in nine (9) monthly installments for the following associations: MEA, NEA. I hereby authorize the Board to deduct dues in a one-month installment to the BREA. The Association shall indemnify and hold the Board harmless against any and all claims and suits that may arise by any reason of action taken or not taken in making deduction of said dues and fees and remitting the same to the Association pursuant to this Article. Any deductions and/or remittances are to be made in a timely fashion. B. Any teacher who is not a member of the NEA-MEA-BREA shall be entitled to the services of the NEA-MEA-BREA under the Agreement only upon payment to the NEA- MEA-BREA of reasonable fees, including reasonable fees for teacher arbitrator's fees and expenses, incurred by the NEA- MEA-BREA on behalf of said teacher. The current schedule of NEA-MEA-BREA fees is listed below for informational purposes: • BREA Fees Local Grievance Representative $25/hour • Attorney Fees MEA Legal Counsel Services $80/hour (May be higher if another attorney is retained through MEA legal counsel) • Field Representative Fees UniServ Director Services $75/hour MEA Program Director Services $75/hour • Research Fees MEA Legal Counsel Assistant Services $50/hour UniServ Assistant Services $50/hour MEA Program Director Services $50/hour All fees are charged on the basis of minimum 15-minute intervals.

The Association agrees to refund to the Board any amount paid to it in error on account of payroll deduction provisions and/or information provided by the teacher or the Association, upon presentation of proper evidence thereof.
