ELIGIBILITY FOR SENIORITY ENTITLEMENT. (a) The seniority of each employee covered by this Agreement will be established after a probationary period of ninety (90) calendar days or forty-five (45) shifts worked whichever comes first at eighty-five percent (85%) of the classified job rate. After the successful completion of the probationary period an employee's seniority shall be back dated to the employee's first day of employment. (b) The Employer may request an extension to an employee’s probationary period, which the Union will not unreasonably deny. (c) Once an employee has completed the initial probationary period of ninety (90) calendar days or forty-five (45) shifts worked, they shall receive their full classification wage rate as listed in Appendix A, whether or not their probation has been extended.
