Emergency Work Assignments. It is recognized that the Employer is in the business of providing public services, and that during emergency work assignments, personnel and procedures may be modified in any way necessary to meet the demands of the emergency. Emergency shall be defined as a combination of circumstances which call for immediate action, including severe storms, floods, or other conditions beyond the control of management or declarations of emergency called by the governmental official authorized to do so.

Emergency Work Assignments. In an emergency, the employer may assign work to employees as necessary to maintain public service. An emergency shall be defined as anytime a situation arises with less than one (1) hour of time to respond to that situation. Emergencies may exist with more than one (1) hour of time to respond, by mutual agreement between the Union and Employer. The District and the ATU agree to form an interim committee to address emergency work assignments, pursuant to the attached Memorandum of Agreement.
