Employee Benefits Committee. (a) The parties hereby jointly establish an Employee Benefits Committee for the purpose of maintaining high quality employee benefits, efficiently provided to County employees at a reasonable cost and to study benefit cost containment programs. Either party may remove or replace its appointees at any time. In addition, either party may appoint one or more outside consultants (whose compensation shall be the responsibility of the appointing party) who shall be permitted to attend all Committee meetings and who shall advise the Committee members on subjects under Committee review. Upon request, either party shall promptly submit to the other party relevant information within a party's possession, custody or control for review by the other party and/or its consultant(s). The Chair of the Committee will rotate each January 1 from a County designee to a Union designee and vice versa each July 1. The initial Chair shall be a County designee. The purposes and functions of the Employee Benefits Committee shall be to:
(1) review existing employee benefits and their provisions, and including cost containment;
(2) make findings and/or recommendations to the parties regarding changes in employee benefits and cost containment initiatives.
(3) explore the feasibility of establishing a Health Benefits Board of Trustees consisting of eight trustees, four appointed by the County and four appointed by the Union. Possible roles for this Board would include: assuming the administration of the fund to include but not limited to the review of the County health insurance experience data; study methods of cost control and educate employees regarding health insurance utilization and health care; decide cost containment measures and select providers; and adjudicate all claim denials and adjudicate worker compensation claims. The Committee shall meet not less than once a month during the months of February through mid-November. Meetings during the period of mid-November through January 31 may be scheduled upon mutual consent by the parties. A quorum for conducting business shall consist of at least 3 members appointed by each party.

Employee Benefits Committee. Both parties agree to continue to utilize the Employee Benefits Committee for ongoing review of benefit programs, cost containment and cost savings options. The Committee shall be made up of representatives of the SEIU, Western Council of Engineers, Local 1 - Confidential, Police Officers Association, Police Mid-Managers Association, Firefighters’ Association, Fire Chief Officers Association, Mid-Management and Management employees.
Employee Benefits Committee. The Employer shall establish an "employee committee" to discuss benefit issues. The committee will contain at least two (2) staff nurses who are appointed by the Association. Representatives of the Employer's "benefits team" members shall also be on the Employee Benefits Committee. The committee will solicit input from nurses at the Hospital with respect to changes to benefits that may be proposed during subsequent negotiations. Input gathered by the Employee Benefits Committee will be utilized by the Employer for purposes of considering what changes to propose to existing benefit packages.

The Employee Benefits Committee may make recommendations for changes to existing benefits. However, changes to benefits identified in this agreement shall only occur after the City and Association have mutually agreed to meet and confer on such changes and have completed the meet and confer process, including impasse resolution. There shall be no change to any benefits that are subject to the meet and confer process provided in this Memorandum of Understanding absent the specific, written agreement of the Association and completion of the meet and confer process.
Employee Benefits Committee. The District has established an Employee Benefits Committee to review and provide input relative to all medical, dental, vision and life insurance plans. The Union shall have the right to representation on the Committee equal to that of the other bargaining units within the District.

Employee Benefits Committee. A Benefits Committee composed of seven members represented with a board member, 2 teachers, 2 classified employees, principal and the superintendent will research available options involving employee benefits, as well as make recommendations to the board of education. Committee members shall be selected by their respective group. The board of education may consider committee recommendations when taking board action for any change in benefits. The board reserves the right to make the final decision which is suited best for the district. In the event that a teacher with 20 or more years of service to the district is released because of a reduction in force, he or she will be allowed to participate in the district health, dental and vision insurance plans at his or her own expense for a maximum of four years from the last day of contract. Employee Benefits Committee. In the event that the County convenes a benefits committee to review its medical, dental, life and/or disability insurance plans during the term of the Agreement, the ONA may select one bargaining unit employee to be a member of the benefits committee.
Employee Benefits Committee. One (1) representative from the Union is entitled to sit with voice and vote on the Employee Benefits Committee. An alternate may also be appointed by the Union, and shall be permitted to attend all meetings that the regular member is unable to attend.
