EMPLOYEE EDUCATION LEAVE. The Employer shall grant Employment Relations Education leave in accordance with the Employment Relations Act 2000 for employees party to this agreement to attend courses authorised by the Minister of Workplace Relations and Safety. The granting of such leave shall not be unreasonably withheld taking into account continuing service needs.

EMPLOYEE EDUCATION LEAVE. (a) Upon proof of successful completion, an employee shall receive reimbursement of costs for tuition and books for courses relative to assigned duties, safety and/or upgrading. Employer approval must be obtained prior to commencement of course. The employee may be required to agree to a stipulated term of employment upon approval of reimbursement.

EMPLOYEE EDUCATION LEAVE. The Employer will grant Employment Relations Education leave in accordance with the Employment Relations Act 2000 for employees party to this agreement to attend courses authorised by APEX to facilitate the employees’ education and training as employee representatives in the workplace. APEX will send a copy of the programme for the course and the name of employees attending at least 21 consecutive days prior to the course commencing. The granting of such leave will not be unreasonably withheld taking into account continuing service needs.

  • Paid Education Leave The Company agrees to pay into a special fund, one (1¢) cent per hour per employee for all compensated hours for the purpose of providing paid education leave. Such leave will be for upgrading the employee skills in all aspects of trade union functions.   • ’ Compensation Leave If such determination cannot readily be made and all healthcare leave or annual leave subject to 100% payoff has been applied to the absence, the employee shall be placed on Official Leave until a final determination is made.

  • Vacation Leave A part-time employee shall earn vacation leave credits for each month in which the employee receives pay for at least twice the number of hours in the employee’s normal workweek, at the rate for years of service established in clause 34.02 of this Agreement, prorated and calculated as follows:
