EMPLOYEE TO INFORM IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR. An employee shall inform his/her immediate supervisor or designate as soon as possible of his/her inability to report to work because of illness and/or injury. Employees unable to work due to illness and/or injury, and who are unable to indicate to his/her immediate supervisor or designate the approximate date at which they intend to return to work, shall update his/her immediate supervisor or designate on a daily basis of his/her status with regard to returning to work in order that relief scheduled for that employee may be notified. Employees intending to return to work following an illness and/or injury must notify his/her immediate supervisor or designate of such intent at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to their intended time of return.

The employee shall inform the Employer of the date of return to duty, in advance of that date, in order that relief scheduled for that employee can be notified.
