ESP SENIORITY. A. Seniority shall accrue in categories of position for ESPs. Seniority shall begin with date of hire. No seniority shall accrue to a person employed as a substitute for an ESP on leave of absence for one (1) year or less, unless that person continues the employment after the return of the ESP on leave. ESPs may accrue seniority in more than one (1) category of position. In the event that more than one (1) ESP has the same starting date of work, position on the seniority list shall be determined by drawing lots. ESPs continuously employed with the Board shall maintain seniority in all positions and classifications currently held.

ESP SENIORITY. 1. Seniority Applicability - Seniority shall accrue in categories of position for ESPs. Substitute and temporary employees shall not accrue seniority. However, once applicable, seniority shall relate back to the first day of employment. No seniority shall accrue to a person employed as a substitute for an ESP on leave of absence for one year or less, unless that person continues employment after the return of the ESP on leave. ESPs may accrue seniority in more than one category of position at the same time.
ESP SENIORITY. Seniority is the length of the ESP's continuous service by category starting with the first day on which duties are performed in the ESP’s category. In the case of 10-month ESP, the two months not worked during the summer shall not constitute a break in service. Seniority credit shall be computed on the initial hire date for full time employment that an ESP accrues according to the following criteria:

  • Super Seniority In the event of a layoff, the Plant Chairperson, Committeepersons and Stewards shall have super seniority.

  • Company Seniority An employee's total accumulated time of employment with the Company which has not been interrupted by a continuous period in excess of six (6) months.

  • SENIORITY 10.1 Seniority shall be defined as an employee's uninterrupted length of continuous service as a bargaining unit member. Each employee’s seniority date shall be computed from his/her first workday on the job as a bargaining unit member. Substitute employees shall not accumulate seniority and are not subject to any of the terms of this Agreement.

  • Role of Seniority A reduction in force shall be based on seniority within a department, discipline or specialty, provided that the senior staff have appropriate qualifications and are providing satisfactory service. Whenever possible, an employee shall be given an opportunity to serve the College in some other capacity for which he/she is qualified. This clause applies to all employees, including those on leave at time of reduction of staff.

  • State Seniority State Seniority" is defined as the length of employment with the State of Minnesota since the last date of hire.

  • Classification Seniority Classification Seniority" is defined as the length of service in a specific job classification within the bargaining unit, beginning with the date an employee starts to serve a probationary appointment. Classification Seniority shall be interrupted only by separation because of resignation, discharge for just cause, failure to return upon expiration of a leave of absence, failure to respond to a recall from layoff, or retirement.
