Examination of Contract Documents and Site. The Bidder is required to examine carefully the site of the Work and the plans and other Contract Documents for the Work contemplated. It will be assumed that the Bidder has investigated and is fully informed as to the requirements of the plans and other Contract Documents, thus relieving the County of any costs incurred by the Bidder as a result of a misunderstanding or miscalculation of the Work.
Examination of Contract Documents and Site. A. It is the responsibility for each Bidder before submitting a bid to (a) examine the contract documents thoroughly, (b) visit the site to become familiar with local conditions that may affect cost, progress, performance or furnishing of the work, (c) consider federal, state and local laws and regulations that may affect cost, progress, performance or furnishing of the work. (d) Study and carefully correlate Bidder's observations with the contract documents, and (e) notify the Engineer of all conflicts, errors or discrepancies in the contract documents.
Examination of Contract Documents and Site. Before submitting his/her bid, each Bidder should (a) examine the contract documents thoroughly, (b) visit the sites to familiarize himself/herself with the local conditions that may in any manner affect performance of the work, (c) familiarize himself/herself with Federal, State and Local Laws, Ordinances, Rules and Regulations affecting performance of the work; and (d) carefully correlate his/her observations with the requirements of the contract documents. Reference is made to the General Requirements (where applicable) of the specifications for the identification of those surveys and investigation reports of subsurface or latent physical conditions at the site or otherwise affecting performance of the work. The Township will make copies of such surveys and reports available to any Bidder requesting them. Before submitting his/her bid, each Bidder will, at his own expense, make such additional surveys and investigations as he may deem necessary to determine his bid price for performance of the work within the terms of the contract documents. The submission of a bid will constitute an incontrovertible representation of the Bidder that he/she has complied with every requirement of the examination of contract documents and site paragraphs.

Work described herein shall be in accordance with the current WSSC General Conditions, Special Conditions, Drawings, Contract, and Specifications contained or referenced in this Solicitation. B. C. If applicable, copies of any subsurface or other physical data in the area of the Work to be performed will be available for examination by any Bidder in accordance with the provisions of Construction’s General Conditions, Article 18, “Physical Data.” Before submitting its Bid, each Bidder may, at its own expense, make such additional investigations as it may deem necessary to determine its Bid price for performance of the Work within the terms of the Contract Documents. Bidder shall be responsible for obtaining necessary permits and permission for such investigations, and any claims for damages arising wherefrom. When making test borings for Commission contracts, the Bidder shall notify property owner(s) and jurisdictional authorities before moving to the site. For private property and within public right-of- ways, the Bidder shall inform the property owner(s) of the Commission Contract Number and full particulars as to when and what the boring operation entails. For work on Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Commission property, the Bidder shall notify (MNCP&PC) by telephone: (000) 000-0000 in Prince George's County; (000) 000-0000 in Xxxxxxxxxx County. The Bidder shall notify Miss Utility before making borings in vicinity of existing facilities. Immediately upon completion of the borings, the Bidder shall fill the holes and restore the site as near as practicable to the condition existing prior to the disturbance. Examination of Contract Documents and Site. By executing the Contract, the Contractor agrees that it has carefully examined the Contract Documents together with the site of the proposed work as well as its surrounding territory; that it is fully informed regarding all the conditions affecting the work to be done and the labor and materials to be furnished for the completion of the Contract; and that its information has been acquired by personal investigation and research and not in the estimates and records of the Fund.
Examination of Contract Documents and Site. 14.1 The Tenderer will satisfy themselves as to the practicality of executing the work in accordance with the Contract, and they will be held to have satisfied themselves in every particular before making up their Tender by inquiry, measurement, calculation, and inspection of the site. 14.2 The Tenderer will examine the site and its surroundings and, before submitting their Tender will satisfy themselves as to the nature of the site, the quantities and nature of the work and equipment necessary for the completion of the work, and the means to access to the site, the accommodation they may require, and in general, will obtain all relevant information as to risks, contingencies and other circumstances which may influence their Tender.

All such information is furnished only for the information and convenience of the Bidders and is not guaranteed. 4.3 Before submitting the Bid, each Bidder may, at his own expense, make such additional investigations and tests as the Bidder may deem necessary to determine the accuracy of his Bid for performance of the Work in accordance with the time, price, and other terms and conditions of the Contract Documents. 4.4 On request, the Town will provide each Bidder access to the site to conduct such investigations and tests as each Bidder may deem necessary for submission of the Bid. 4.5 The lands upon which the work is to be performed and rights-of-way for access thereto are identified on the Drawings. 4.6 The submission of a Bid will constitute an incontrovertible representation by the Bidder that he has complied with every requirement of this Article 4 and that the Contract Documents are sufficient in scope and detail to indicate and convey understanding of all terms and conditions for performance of the Work.
Examination of Contract Documents and Site. 4.1 It is the responsibility of each Bidder before submitting a Bid: 4.1.1 To examine thoroughly the Contract Documents and other related data identified in the Bidding Documents (including "technical data" referred to below); 4.1.2 To visit the site to become familiar with and satisfy Bidder as to the general, local and site conditions that may affect cost, progress, performance or furnishing of the Work; 4.1.3 To consider federal, state and local Laws and Regulations that may affect cost, progress, performance or furnishing of the Work; 4.1.4 To study and carefully correlate Bidder's knowledge and observations with the Contract Documents and such other related data; and 4.1.5 To promptly notify Engineer of all conflicts, errors, ambiguities or discrepancies, which Bidder has discovered in or between the Contract Documents and such other, related documents. 4.2 Reference is made to the Supplementary Conditions for identification of: 4.2.1 The reports of explorations and tests of subsurface conditions at or contiguous to the site which have been utilized by Engineer in preparation of the Contract Documents. Bidder may rely upon the general accuracy of the "technical data" contained in such reports but not upon other data, interpretations, opinions or information contained in such reports or otherwise relating to the subsurface conditions at the site, nor upon the completeness thereof for the purposes of bidding or construction. 4.2.2 Those drawings of physical conditions in or relating to existing surface and subsurface structures (except Underground Facilities) which are at or contiguous to the site that have been utilized by Engineer in preparation of the Contract Documents. Bidder may rely upon the general accuracy of the "technical data" contained in such drawings but not upon other data, interpretations, opinions or information shown or indicated in such drawings or otherwise relating to such structures, nor upon the completeness thereof for the purposes of bidding or construction. Copies of such reports and drawings will be made available by Owner to any Bidder upon request. Those reports and drawings are not part of the Contract Documents, but the "technical data" contained therein upon which Bidder is entitled to rely as provided in Paragraphs 4.02 of the General Conditions has been identified and established in the Supplementary Conditions.
