EXAMINATION OF CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND SITE. Before submitting his/her bid, each Bidder should (a) examine the contract documents thoroughly, (b) visit the sites to familiarize himself/herself with the local conditions that may in any manner affect performance of the work, (c) familiarize himself/herself with Federal, State and Local Laws, Ordinances, Rules and Regulations affecting performance of the work; and (d) carefully correlate his/her observations with the requirements of the contract documents. Reference is made to the General Requirements (where applicable) of the specifications for the identification of those surveys and investigation reports of subsurface or latent physical conditions at the site or otherwise affecting performance of the work. The Township will make copies of such surveys and reports available to any Bidder requesting them. Before submitting his/her bid, each Bidder will, at his own expense, make such additional surveys and investigations as he may deem necessary to determine his bid price for performance of the work within the terms of the contract documents. The submission of a bid will constitute an incontrovertible representation of the Bidder that he/she has complied with every requirement of the examination of contract documents and site paragraphs.
EXAMINATION OF CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND SITE. A. It is the responsibility for each Bidder before submitting a bid to (a) examine the contract documents thoroughly, (b) visit the site to become familiar with local conditions that may affect cost, progress, performance or furnishing of the work, (c) consider federal, state and local laws and regulations that may affect cost, progress, performance or furnishing of the work. (d) Study and carefully correlate Bidder's observations with the contract documents, and (e) notify the Engineer of all conflicts, errors or discrepancies in the contract documents.
EXAMINATION OF CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND SITE. 2.1.1 Before submitting a bid, the Bidder shall examine all Contract Documents, including the Drawings and Specifications for all divisions of Work for the Project, noting particularly all requirements which will affect the Bidder's Work in any way. 2.1.2 Failure of a Bidder to be acquainted with the amount, extent and nature of Work required to complete any portion of the Work, in conformity with all requirements of the Project as a whole wherever set forth in the Contract Documents, or reasonably inferred therefrom, shall not be a basis for additional compensation or time extension. 2.1.3 Before submitting a bid, the Bidder shall evaluate when the Work may be performed and examine and evaluate the Site and related Project conditions where the Work will be performed, including without limitation the following: 2.1.3.1 The possibility of interference, disruption, hindrance, delay or impact from other Contractors and from Persons other than the City; 2.1.3.2 The condition, layout and nature of the Site and surrounding area; 2.1.3.3 The availability and cost of labor; 2.1.3.4 The availability and cost of materials, supplies and equipment; 2.1.3.5 The cost of temporary utilities required; 2.1.3.6 The cost of any permit or license required by a local or regional authority having jurisdiction over the Project; 2.1.3.7 The usual weather conditions at the Site; 2.1.3.8 Conditions bearing upon transportation, disposal, handling, and storage of materials and waste. 2.1.4 The Bidder shall correlate the Bidder’s examination of the Contract Documents with the Bidder’s evaluation of when the Work may be performed and examination and evaluation of the Site and related Project conditions. 2.1.5 [Unless otherwise specified in the Contract Documents, borings, rock soundings, test excavations and other subsurface information or information about concealed physical conditions, if any, are provided solely to share information available to the City and any use of, or reliance upon, such items by the Bidder is at the risk of the Bidder. The Bidder shall be afforded access to examine the Site and to obtain the Bidder’s own borings, rock soundings, test excavations and other subsurface information or information about concealed physical conditions upon request made not less than 10 days prior to opening of the bids. EXAMINATION OF CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND SITE. The Bidder is required to examine carefully the site of the Work, and the plans and other Contract Documents for the Work contemplated. It will be assumed that the Bidder has investigated and is fully informed as to the requirements of the plans and other Contract Documents, thus relieving the County of any costs incurred by the Bidder as a result of a misunderstanding or miscalculation of the Work.
EXAMINATION OF CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND SITE. By executing the Contract, the Contractor agrees: that it has carefully examined the Contract Documents together with the site of the proposed work as well as its surrounding territory; that it is fully informed regarding all the conditions affecting the work to be done and the labor and materials to be furnished for the completion of the Contract; and that its information has been acquired by personal investigation and research and not in the estimates and records of the University.

Subcontractor warrants that it has satisfied itself as to the character, quality and quantity of Work to be performed, the conditions that will be encountered at the site or otherwise affect the cost or difficulty of performing the Work, the materials and equipment and other items to be furnished, and all other requirements of the Contract Documents and this Subcontract.

EXAMINATION OF CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND SITE. 14.1 The Tenderer will satisfy themselves as to the practicality of executing the work in accordance with the Contract, and they will be held to have satisfied themselves in every particular before making up their Tender by inquiry, measurement, calculation, and inspection of the site. 14.2 The Tenderer will examine the site and its surroundings and, before submitting their Tender will satisfy themselves as to the nature of the site, the quantities and nature of the work and equipment necessary for the completion of the work, and the means to access to the site, the accommodation they may require, and in general, will obtain all relevant information as to risks, contingencies and other circumstances which may influence their Tender.

EXAMINATION OF CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND SITE. 4.1 It is the responsibility of each Bidder before submitting a Bid: 4.1.1 To examine thoroughly the Contract Documents and other related data identified in the Bidding Documents (including "technical data" referred to below); 4.1.2 To visit the site to become familiar with and satisfy Bidder as to the general, local and site conditions that may affect cost, progress, performance or furnishing of the Work; 4.1.3 To consider federal, state and local Laws and Regulations that may affect cost, progress, performance or furnishing of the Work; 4.1.4 To study and carefully correlate Bidder's knowledge and observations with the Contract Documents and such other related data; and 4.1.5 To promptly notify Engineer of all conflicts, errors, ambiguities or discrepancies, which Bidder has discovered in or between the Contract Documents and such other, related documents. 4.2 Reference is made to the Supplementary Conditions for identification of: 4.2.1 The reports of explorations and tests of subsurface conditions at or contiguous to the site which have been utilized by Engineer in preparation of the Contract Documents. Bidder may rely upon the general accuracy of the "technical data" contained in such reports but not upon other data, interpretations, opinions or information contained in such reports or otherwise relating to the subsurface conditions at the site, nor upon the completeness thereof for the purposes of bidding or construction. 4.2.2 Those drawings of physical conditions in or relating to existing surface and subsurface structures (except Underground Facilities) which are at or contiguous to the site that have been utilized by Engineer in preparation of the Contract Documents. Bidder may rely upon the general accuracy of the "technical data" contained in such drawings but not upon other data, interpretations, opinions or information shown or indicated in such drawings or otherwise relating to such structures, nor upon the completeness thereof for the purposes of bidding or construction. Copies of such reports and drawings will be made available by Owner to any Bidder upon request. Those reports and drawings are not part of the Contract Documents, but the "technical data" contained therein upon which Bidder is entitled to rely as provided in Paragraphs 4.02 of the General Conditions has been identified and established in the Supplementary Conditions.
