Exchange of Days Off. Personnel within a Department will be allowed to voluntarily exchange days off within a biweekly pay period provided the County does not incur any overtime or additional costs due to the voluntary exchanges. All such voluntary exchanges of days off must have prior administrative review and approval.

Exchange of Days Off. A. The member may request, and the Chief or his designee may grant, the request of any member of the department to exchange hours, duties or days off with another officer of equal rank pursuant to the rules and regulations of the Chief of Police or his/her designee. Such requests shall be granted on a uniform basis with standard rules and regulations applying to all employees making this request. Such requests shall not be unreasonably or arbitrarily denied. All requests are to be made in writing.
Exchange of Days Off. Where an employee requests to work a day off in exchange for a day to be scheduled off, the employee’s pay status shall not be affected. When employees exchange shifts with the approval of the Employer (or designee), the pay status of neither is affected, except that an employee who works an exchange and is required to work overtime shall receive the overtime.
