Work Areas. The Appointing Authority may define and/or redefine work areas provided that such work areas are based upon reasonable staffing and/or operational needs of the Appointing Authority and do not unreasonably diminish the bidding rights of employees. Upon request, the Appointing Authority will provide to the Local Union a list of current work areas.

Work Areas. 9.8.1 For the purposes of this Article, work area shall be determined as follows: All bargaining unit members who report directly to and are immediately supervised by a common person shall be considered to be in the same work area (e.g., all State Patrol Troopers who have the same supervisor shall be considered as in the same work area). For the purposes of the Field Services Division all Sergeants within the same Troop Area shall be understood to be within the same work area. For the purpose of the Carrier Enforcement Division this shall be by duty station in each district (e.g., Interstate Scales, Secondary Permanent Scales, Portables, CVE). Officers assigned to Traffic who work permanent shifts shall bid against officers who work in the same geographical work area.

Work Areas. The employer shall endeavour to ensure that every employee will be provided with suitable work space in accordance with applicable provincial legislation.
Work Areas. The custodians herein referred to include those persons performing custodian service in or about the premises of the Courthouse and Xxxxxxxx Building, the Job Center, Public Safety Building, Kenosha County Center, old Unemployment Compensation Building, Corporation Counsel’s Office, Brookside Maintenance, Kenosha County Administration Building, downtown Pretrial Facility and the Detention Center. They shall do such custodian work as designated by the Facilities management. However, it is understood that with respect to the pretrial facility and House of Corrections, some bargaining unit work may be assigned to prisoners and/or other detainees.
Work Areas a. There are twenty-seven (27) work areas with limits as defined in Paragraph e of this Section 8.27. Any employee who is assigned a work area instead of a specific permanent headquarters will report to any job location within his/her assigned work area. Transportation to and from home and any job location within his/her assigned area is all personal time and expense, except as may herein be specifically noted. b. The employee referred to in Paragraph a of this Section 8.27 will be paid an hourly premium, called “work area differential”, equal to the difference between the grade maximum of his/her classification and the next higher grade maximum (i.e., one pay grade). Depending on the size of the work area and as indicated by the work area chart, the work area differential may be two, three or four times the single work area differential. For this purpose, a classification in an automatic progression will be assumed to have the grade of the highest classification in the automatic progression. Employees presently eligible to receive the area differential are shown in the work area chart. c. Underground Lines and Meter Bargaining Unit members who are assigned to a Work Area are also assigned a permanent headquarters. The work area differential provided in Paragraph b of this Section 8.27 is not applicable when a member is directed to report at and quit from his/her permanent headquarters for the day. d.
