HEALTH AND WELFARE BENEFITS COMMITTEE. The Health and Welfare Benefits Committee will review all health and welfare benefits and shall report their findings and recommendations to the District and the Association. The Association will have appropriate representation on the committee.
HEALTH AND WELFARE BENEFITS COMMITTEE. A. The Association and District agree to meet on an as needed basis, and at least once a quarter to discuss the Health and Welfare benefit plans.
HEALTH AND WELFARE BENEFITS COMMITTEE. 19.1 The Association and the District agree to a Joint Committee formed upon ratification for the purpose of researching and restructuring Article 4.2 no later than October 1, of the current year. The Association and the District will have equal status on the committee (the Association will have no less than 4 members, all of which will be chosen by VVTA). Any vote will affect only the unit voting. 19.2 The Committee will meet no later than October 1st of the current year. The goal of the committee is to provide comparable or better benefits to the Association's members at the member's choice and to reduce costs. The Committee will meet with a minimum of three (3) brokers/trusts to review their proposals. Following the review of the proposals, committee members will have a minimum of two (2) weeks to consult with their constituents. A final meeting will be held prior to December 1st to vote. The Association will notify the district by December 1st of their selection.

HEALTH AND WELFARE BENEFITS COMMITTEE. 9.11.1 The District and Association will form a Health and Welfare Benefits Committee. The purpose of the Health and Welfare Benefits Committee is to make recommendations to the District and Association members to help maximize benefits, minimize health care costs, and determine cost containment strategies for health and welfare benefits. 9.11.2 The District and Association shall each have three (3) representatives on the Health and Welfare Benefits Committee. 9.11.3 The District will provide release time to the Association’s Health and Welfare Benefits Committee representatives for purposes of attending Committee meetings.
HEALTH AND WELFARE BENEFITS COMMITTEE. The District shall establish a Health and Welfare Benefits Committee that shall include three (3) representatives chosen by WFA and three (3) representatives chosen by the District. The purpose of this committee shall be to identify options included but not limited to employer-employee trusts, for reducing health benefit cost increases and improving employee healthcare. The Health and Welfare Benefits Committee shall meet by consensus a minimum of three (3) times during the school year, beginning each October, unless by mutual agreement of the parties. Benefits plans and providers will be elected by the District after consultation with the Health and Welfare Benefits Committee.

HEALTH AND WELFARE BENEFITS COMMITTEE. 7.10.1 The District and classified employee bargaining unit representatives shall appoint a joint committee whose tasks shall be to: 1. examine the status, benefits and cost of ongoing medical, dental, life insurance and worker's compensation programs; 2. explore any needed changes or alternative benefits appropriate to the District and/or employee groups, which may include, but not be limited to, District-sponsored vision care plans, annuity plans, income protection plans, etc.; and 3. make appropriate recommendations to official District and bargaining unit representatives for consideration by means of the appropriate collective bargaining process.
HEALTH AND WELFARE BENEFITS COMMITTEE. The District and classified employee bargaining unit representatives shall appoint a joint medical committee whose tasks shall be to: A. Examine the status, benefits and costs of ongoing medical, dental, life insurance and worker’s compensation programs; B. Explore any needed change or alternative benefits appropriate to the District and/or employee groups, which may include, but not limited to, District-sponsored vision care plans, annuity plans, income protection plans, etc., and; C. Make appropriate recommendations to official district and bargaining unit representatives for consideration by means of the appropriate collective bargaining process. The Committee shall be comprised of eight (8) members: four (4) of who shall be appointed by the Union and four (4) of whom shall be appointed by the District.
HEALTH AND WELFARE BENEFITS COMMITTEE. 9.6.1. The Parties agree to the appointment of a districtwide Health and Welfare Benefits Committee composed of two (2) representatives appointed by each employee organization/group involved. The Committee shall work to maintain a quality benefit package. The Committee shall establish its own meeting schedule. 9.6.2. The Committee will review district health and welfare benefit programs and have the opportunity to meet with plan providers and outside consultants to become informed on the plan provisions, financing, agreements with providers and other appropriate plan details. 9.6.3. The Committee may develop advisory recommendations from time to time regarding modifications to the health and welfare benefit programs. It is understood that such advisory recommendations will be made to the District and the involved employee organization/group. Recommendations by the Committee that are intended to be part of the November open enrollment shall be made no later than August 1 of the same year. The date can be extended to allow a minimum of thirty (30) calendar days from the date the Committee received all three (3) medical benefit premium amounts from the VEBA. 9.6.4. The Committee shall review and make necessary recommendations regarding all contracts with carriers prior to adoption by the Board of Education. 9.6.5. During the term of this Agreement, the Committee agrees to research creative ways to reduce the cost of the benefits program and may recommend to the District and the Association that certain reductions be made to fund improvements elsewhere in the benefits package. 9.6.6. The Committee will seek and evaluate a rate quote for dental coverage through the VEBA trust as needed.
