Bargaining Unit Representatives. Upon the written request of the Bargaining Unit President, Bargaining Unit representatives shall be given release time for Bargaining Unit or Provincial Federation purposes. Such release time shall be without loss of salary or benefits. Such release time shall not normally exceed two (2) days at any one time. The actual time(s) of release time(s) shall be mutually agreed upon by the President and the Director or designate. In the event that an occasional teacher is used to cover release time described above, the cost of the occasional teacher shall be paid by the Bargaining Unit. In addition to the above, Bargaining Unit representatives will be granted release time to participate in negotiations; such release time to be without loss of pay or benefits. When occasional teachers are used to cover the absence of these teachers, the occasional teacher costs will be shared equally between the Board and the Bargaining Unit.
Bargaining Unit Representatives. The Union shall select nurses from the bargaining unit to function as Bargaining Unit Representatives. The bargaining unit representatives shall not be recognized by the Employer until the Union has given the Employer written notice of the selection and their scope of authority. Unless otherwise agreed to by the Employer, the investigation of grievances and other Union business shall be conducted only during non-working times, and shall not interfere with the work of other employees.
Bargaining Unit Representatives. Representatives of the Union, shall be permitted to transact official Union business at work sites at all reasonable times, provided that this shall not interfere with or interrupt normal operations. No Bargaining Unit member shall leave his/her work station without prior approval of the Director of Central Campus Security Services (or designee). No outside representative of the Union shall be permitted in any restricted area without prior approval of the Director of Central Campus Security Services (or designee). The Bargaining Unit is authorized to select six (6) Bargaining Unit representative and two (2) alternates to conduct Bargaining Unit business. The Bargaining Unit representative, upon giving reasonable notice, and upon receiving authorization from the Director of Central Campus Security Services (or designee) shall be allowed reasonable time off during regular working hours to investigate a grievance, consult with the University in addressing labor/management issues, process a grievance, or assist in the settlement of a dispute. Permission to perform these functions shall not be unreasonably denied; however, it is understood that staffing, availability of coverage and overtime are reasonable considerations. One bargaining unit member shall be allowed one day in paid status and reasonable time off duty without pay to attend the FOP/OLC annual conference provided that the bargaining unit member submits written notification to the Director of Central Campus Security Services at least thirty (30) calendar days prior to the date of the function. To the extent any such time off without pay is during the bargaining unit member's scheduled working hours, time off may be charged to vacation or compensatory time, at the option of the bargaining unit member.
Bargaining Unit Representatives. For the purpose of handling grievances and settling disputes between the Congress and the Board, the Congress will designate and the Board will recognize one building representative in each elementary school building, two building representatives in the Junior High School (Middle School) and three building representatives for the Senior High School. Designated building representatives only shall have the authority to investigate grievances, complaints, disputes, controversies or disagreements between the Congress and the Board. The Congress shall designate and the Board shall recognize one grievance chairperson to coordinate grievance handling throughout the District for the Congress.

The bargaining unit is authorized to select one (1) employee representative and two (2) alternates to conduct bargaining unit business. The employee representative, upon giving reasonable notice, and upon receiving authorization from the Communications Supervisor, or in Communication Supervisor’s absence the Technical Services Bureau Commander, shall be allowed reasonable time off during regular working hours to investigate a grievance, consult with the Employer in addressing labor/management issues, process a grievance, or assist in the settlement of a dispute. Permission to perform these functions shall not be unreasonably denied.
Bargaining Unit Representatives. The Union shall have the right to select bargaining unit representatives from among the nurses in the unit. At least four, but no more than five bargaining unit officers and/or representatives shall be recognized by the Employer when the Union has given the Employer written notice of the selection.
3.3.1 Bargaining unit officers and/or representatives will be allowed a reasonable amount of time, without charge to leave or loss of pay, for the purpose of fulfilling their Representational duties and obligations. Representational duties shall include:
1) Receiving and processing grievances;
2) Attending investigatory and disciplinary meetings involving supervision and bargaining unit employees;
3) Officer meetings with management officials;
4) New-hire orientation;
Bargaining Unit Representatives. For the purpose of handling grievances and settling disputes between the Union and the District, the Union will designate and the District will recognize one building representative in each school building. Designated building representatives only shall have the authority to investigate grievances, complaints, disputes, controversies or disagreements between the Union and the District. The Union shall designate and the District shall recognize one grievance chairperson to coordinate grievance handling throughout the District for the Union.
Bargaining Unit Representatives. The Bargaining Unit shall submit in writing the names of its Bargaining Unit representatives who are authorized to speak on behalf of the Bargaining Unit and/or represent Employees. The City agrees to recognize as Bargaining Unit representatives: the local Bargaining Unit president; a Bargaining Unit staff representative; and, a maximum of six (6) stewards selected by the Bargaining Unit, from the following departments and sections: Stewards shall be authorized to represent Employees through the first step of the grievance procedure. The Bargaining Unit staff representative or, in his absence, the local Bargaining Unit president, shall be authorized to represent Employees in subsequent steps of the grievance procedure. For the purposes of this Article and Agreement, Bargaining Unit staff representative shall mean an Employee or authorized agent of the Bargaining Unit, who is not an Employee of the City.
