Holiday and Personal Leave. The selection of holiday and personal leave will remain on a first come, first served basis and seniority will only be utilized to break a tie in the case of two or more officers applying at the same time. Request for personal leave or holiday leave must pertain to time within the cycle in which the request is made. The granting and/or denial of personal or holiday leave will be made as soon as practicable, taking into account the scheduling needs of the Department.

Holiday and Personal Leave. The Superintendent may take, at the Superintendent's choice, the greater of six (6) non-duty days or the same number of non-duty days authorized by policies adopted by the Board for administrators on twelve (12) month contracts. These non-duty days may be taken in a single period or at different times. The non-duty days taken by the Superintendent will be taken at such time or times as will least interfere with the performance of the Superintendent's duties as set forth in this Contract. Accrued but unused non- duty days, up to a maximum of six (6) days annually, shall accumulate and carry forward from year to year during the term of this Contract. At the sole option of the Superintendent, either at the end of each year of the term of this Contract, at retirement, or when the Contract is terminated, either voluntarily or involuntarily, the District shall pay in a lump sum to the Superintendent any accrued but unused non-duty days at the Superintendent's daily rate of pay as of the payment date. The daily rate shall be calculated by dividing the Superintendent’s TRS creditable compensation by 220. The Superintendent shall observe the same legal holidays as provided by Board policies for administrative employees on twelve (12) month contracts. The Superintendent is hereby granted the same personal leave benefits as authorized by Board policies for administrative employees on twelve (12) month contracts, the days to be taken in a single period or at different times.

Holiday and Personal Leave. 1. The employee with an average workweek of 36 hours has a right to 144 statutory and 27 non- statutory holiday hours per calendar year. The accrual takes place on a monthly basis, pro rata and in proportion to the agreed working hours. For employees referred to in paragraph 1 with birthdates from 1951 through 1955 who were employed on 1 April 2017, the number of non-statutory holiday hours will be increased with 7,2 personal leave hours on 1-1 2018. The right to personal leave is not applicable when participating in the Senior Staff Scheme, the Vitality Pact or the (former) Generation instrument

  • Sick and Personal Leave The Assistant Principal shall annually be entitled to twelve (12) days of sick leave and two (2) days of personal leave. Unused personal leave days will accumulate as sick leave days. Earned sick leave may accumulate to a maximum of 340 days. Every sick day that is issued for the current school year and eventually not utilized during that school year will be multiplied by 1.5 at the end of the school year (e.g., 10 unused sick days on June 30, 2022 will be converted in a credit of 15 sick days for the Assistant Principal’s use.) This unused sick day multiplier will not be in effect during the four (4) years prior to retirement.

  • Sick Leave and Personal Leave The Administrator shall be granted paid sick leave, as defined in Section 24-6 of The School Code, of twelve (12) workdays per contract year accumulative to three hundred forty (340) days. The Administrator shall be granted three (3) paid personal leave days per contract year for personal business. Unused personal leave days shall be credited towards the Administrator’s accumulated sick leave.

  • Unpaid Personal Leave Where an employee has exhausted all paid personal leave entitlements, they are entitled to take unpaid personal leave to care for members of their immediate family or household who are sick and require care and support or who require care due to an unexpected emergency. The employer and the employee shall agree on the period. In the absence of agreement, the employee is entitled to take up to two days (up to a maximum of 16 hours) of unpaid leave per occasion, provided the requirements of 7.2.5(a) and 7.2.5(b) are met.

  • Personal Leave Written request for a personal leave of absence without pay will be considered on an individual basis by the Hospital. Such requests are to be submitted to the employee's immediate supervisor at least four (4) weeks in advance, unless not reasonably possible to give such notice, and a written reply will be given within fourteen (14) days except in cases of emergency in which case a reply will be given as soon as possible. Employees needing personal leave days for appointments with medical practitioners may utilize the personal leave language. Such leave shall not be unreasonably withheld.

  • Extended Personal Leave Personal leave without pay not to exceed thirty (30) 26 days may be granted at the discretion of the Superintendent. Personal leave in 27 excess of thirty (30) days shall be subject to approval by the Board.

  • Personal Leaves 8.11.4.1 As approved by the Board, personal leaves without pay may be granted in cases of exceptional need for up to six (6) months.   • Personal Leave Day A. An employee may choose one (1) workday as a personal leave day each fiscal year during the life of this Agreement if the employee has been continuously employed for more than four (4) months.

  • Unpaid Personal Leave of Absence 1. Any employee may apply for an unpaid personal leave of absence for good and sufficient reason. Leave pursuant to this provision may be for a period not exceeding twelve (12) months in any fourteen (14) consecutive months. Such leave may be granted at the discretion of the appointing authority and shall not be unreasonably denied. Employees are encouraged to consult with their agency/department Personnel Officer to determine if they are eligible for benefits available under the Federal Family and Medical Leave Act. All requests for such leave and responses shall be in writing. The application for leave must specifically state the reasons for such application and the length of time requested. After completion of a period of personal leave of absence, the employee shall be entitled to return to the organizational unit, status and position held immediately prior to the beginning of the leave of absence. If the employee's position is abolished during any such leave, he/she shall be notified and allowed to exercise his/her rights under the Seniority Article of this Agreement.
