Holiday Falling on a Day of Rest‌ When a paid holiday falls on an employee's day of rest, the employee shall have the option of either an additional day's pay or a paid day off in lieu of the holiday. The lieu day shall be scheduled at a time mutually agreed between the Employer and the employee.

Holiday Falling on a Day of Rest
Holiday Falling on a Sunday If one of the holidays listed above falls on a Sunday and the employee is not regularly scheduled to work that day, the employee's first regularly scheduled workday following the holiday shall be considered a holiday.
Holiday Falling on a Day of Rest (a) the working day immediately following her day of rest; or (b) the day following the employee’s annual vacation; or (c) other mutually acceptable day between the Employer and the employee.
Holiday Falling on a Day of Rest‌ When a paid holiday falls on an employee's day of rest, the Employer shall make every reasonable effort to give the employee a lieu day off with pay on the first regularly scheduled workday following the day of rest so affected. Where this is not possible, the lieu day shall be taken at a mutually agreeable time. When a paid holiday is moved to another day under the provisions of this Clause: (a) work performed by an employee on the day from which the holiday was moved shall be considered as work performed on a day of rest; and (b) work performed by an employee on the day to which the holiday was moved shall be considered as work performed on a holiday.
Holiday Falling on a Day of Rest‌ Employees required to work on scheduled days off will receive pay at the rate of time and one-half for the time worked, but will not have the day off rescheduled.

Holiday Falling on a Day of Rest‌ When a paid holiday falls on an employee's day of rest, the employee shall be entitled to a day off with pay in lieu. If the employee is called in to work on the day designated as the lieu day pursuant to (a) above, he/she shall be compensated at the rate of time and one-half (1½x) at the applicable overtime rate. An employee who works on a designated holiday which is not a scheduled workday shall be considered to have worked overtime and shall receive time and one-half (1½x) for all hours worked plus a day off with pay at a time chosen by the employee or double-time and one-half (2½x) for all hours worked.
Holiday Falling on a Day of Rest When a day designated as a holiday under Clause 16.01 coincides with an employee’s day of rest, the holiday shall be moved to the employee’s first working day following his day of rest.

  • Holiday Falling on a Scheduled Workday An Employee who works on a designated holiday which is a scheduled workday shall be compensated at the rate of double time for hours worked, plus a day off in lieu of the holiday; except for Christmas and New Year's when the compensation shall be at the rate of double time and one-half (2½) for hours worked, plus a day off subject to this Agreement.

  • Holiday Falling on Saturday or Sunday For an employee whose normal workweek is from Monday to Friday and when any of the above-noted holidays falls on a Saturday and is not proclaimed as being observed on another day, the following Monday will be deemed to be the holiday. When a holiday falls on a Sunday and it is not proclaimed as being observed on another day, the following Monday (or Tuesday, where the preceding section already applies), will be deemed to be the holiday for the purpose of this agreement.

  • Holidays Falling on Saturday or Sunday ‌ For an employee whose workweek is from Monday to Friday, and when any of the above-noted holidays falls on a Saturday and is not proclaimed as being observed on some other day, the following Monday shall be deemed to be the holiday for the purpose of this agreement; when a holiday falls on a Sunday and it is not proclaimed as being observed on some other day, the following Monday (or Tuesday, where the preceding section already applies to the Monday), shall be deemed to be the holiday for the purpose of this agreement.

  • Working on a Holiday An employee who is required to work on a holiday shall be paid at the rate of straight time plus time and one-half (1 1/2).

  • Public Holidays falling within Annual Leave (a) If a Public Holiday, as prescribed in this Agreement, falls within an Employee’s annual leave the Public Holiday does not constitute part of the Employee’s annual leave and will be paid as ordinary hours.

  • Holiday Coinciding with a Day of Vacation Where an employee is on vacation leave and a day of paid holiday falls within that period, the paid holiday shall not count as a day of vacation.

  • Loading on Annual Leave During a period of annual leave an Employee covered by this clause shall receive a loading of 22.5% calculated on the all-purpose rate of wage prescribed by Appendix A, clause 2.3 of this Agreement.

  • Christmas Day Melbourne Cup Day (or alternative days in regional areas);

  • Working Day Working Day means a day other than a Saturday, Sunday, or a holiday which is observed by the construction industry in the area of the Place of the Work.
