All courses will be calculated to determine if a student makes the honor roll (core subjects, exploratory classes, band, and choir). Any “plus “ and “minus” will be included in the average. To be marked * Straight A’s, a student must have an “A” in EVERY subject, an “A-” will not count towards straight A’s. Parents may review the human growth and development curriculum prior to its use and have their child excused from human health, growth and development instruction. When school is canceled because of inclement weather prior to the start of the school day, students and parents are notified over the radio and/or television stations and our MV text alert system if parents have signed up for this alert. The missed day may have to be made up at a later date. Parents may contact the school to sign up for text alerts at any time. The superintendent determines whether buses will follow the regular routes. If the buses do not follow regular routes, they follow emergency routes or parents are responsible for picking up students at the school. Honor Roll. The Honor Roll System is designed to celebrate and recognize those students in grades 5-8 that achieve academic excellence and adhere to our Christian Values for any or all three marking periods/trimester. There are two levels of achievement for the Honor Roll:
Honor Roll. Students who do outstanding work will be recognized through an honor roll system. An honor roll list will recognize students who have attained a set standard of academic achievement. Honor Roll will be based on ALL classes with the following guidelines: ● High Honor Roll is based on all A’s and enrollment in at least 3 credit hours per semester. ● Honor Roll is based on A’s and B’s only and enrollment in at least 3 credit hours per semester.
Honor Roll. An Honor Roll will be published following each grading period. The following procedure will be used to determine Honor Roll students. Two Honor rolls are recognized at Pike Central.
1. Distinguished Honor Roll - The student has achieved a 3.8 average based on the numerical values assigned to the letter grades.
Honor Roll. All subjects will be considered in awarding honor roll status and eligibility status. A 3.00 grade point average is required for honor roll status. Superintendent’s honor roll status is 3.50 or above.
Honor Roll. Making the Honor Roll is a great achievement. The faculty and staff at King/ Xxxxxxxx applaud all of those students who become Honor Roll members. The following are the guidelines for determining Honor Roll status: ● High-Honors: Students are determined by their B+ or above average. No grade of C or below is allowed in any subject. ● Honors: Students are determined by a B- or above average. No grade of C or below is allowed in any subject.
Honor Roll. The Honor Roll is determined on a marking period basis. Students receiving grades of all B’s or better will be placed on the Honor Roll. Sussex County Community College, Stockton University, Syracuse University Project Advanced, and the Kittatinny Regional High School District Board of Education recognize the value of a program that allows our students to accrue college credits while completing their High School experience. The Concurrent Enrollment Program (CEP) is a partnership program linking high schools and the college to provide qualified high school students the opportunity to enroll during a part of the high school day in challenging courses normally taken by college students. All CEP courses are the same as those regularly offered at the respective. They are taught by high school faculty serving as college adjuncts. The college is responsible for selection of the instructor in consultation with the school district. The course is carefully monitored by SCCC, Faculty and Administration to ensure that the curriculum and grading standards in CEP courses are identical to those sections taught at the college. The students who successfully complete course work taken through the CEP program will have their earned credits documented on a regular college transcript. These credits can either be applied to the respective college’s degree programs or transferred to other universities and colleges across the nation that accept them. Kittatinny students enrolled in select courses have the opportunity to participate in the Concurrent Enrollment Program affiliated with Syracuse University Project Advance (SUPA), Stockton University, and Sussex County Community College (SCCC). Students must meet the minimum Accuplacer scores in order to enroll in the courses as well as have completed the necessary prerequisite concurrent coursework (if required for SCCC courses). Please see the Concurrent Course tab on the Guidance website for the most up-to-date listing of courses, prerequisites, fees, and general information. The Kittatinny teachers have been approved by the respective colleges to teach these courses; therefore, students do not have to attend classes at the college in order to receive college credit. Students must earn a grade of at least a “C” in the class in order to receive a transc...
