Initial Uniform Allowance. The City will purchase required clothing and equipment for all employees of the Division of Fire. The quality of the items purchased is to be satisfactory to the Union's Safety Committee. The clothing and equipment purchased will be as approved by the Director of Public Safety based on the recommendation of the Joint Clothing Committee and as specified in the Division’s Systems Manual.

Initial Uniform Allowance. All initial uniform allowances shall be paid upon date of hire determined as of date upon payroll.
Initial Uniform Allowance. Employees shall be issued a full allotment of uniforms and equipment at their initial appointment. Such full allotment shall be as recommended by the Police Chief and approved by the City Manager.
Initial Uniform Allowance. Newly appointed Sworn employees upon being required to wear a uniform shall receive either a uniform stipend or Department issued uniforms. Such determination shall be at the discretion of the Chief of Police. New hires shall not be entitled to any additional uniform allowance during the first year of employment with the City/District. Upon completion of one-year (1) as an employee, such employee shall receive seventy-five dollars ($75) per month for each month of service to be completed between the end of the first year of employment and the next July. After completing the first year of service, continuing uniform allowance shall apply as provided below.
Initial Uniform Allowance. Newly hired employees shall be provided an initial uniform allowance of two hundred dollars ($200.00). This allowance shall be used to purchase the necessary uniform and/or uniform items as determined by the Employer. Upon the successful completion of the probationary period, employees shall be entitled to the uniform allowance as provided in Section 31.1 herein. The Sheriff reserves the right to waive the non-probationary stipulation on a non-grievable basis. Should an employee, as described in this section, fail to successfully complete his probationary period, said employee shall reimburse the Employer for the actual cost of the items purchased. An employee who, during the term of this Agreement, is transferred in or awarded a position as a Deputy Sheriff, shall be provided the aforementioned two-hundred-dollar ($200.00) amount in addition to the annual uniform allowance described in Section 31.1.
Initial Uniform Allowance. The City agrees to provide to an employee covered by this Memorandum, at the time of employment, an initial uniform allowance of four hundred dollars ($400.00).
Initial Uniform Allowance. At time of hire, Employees shall receive an initial uniform allowance of eight hundred and fifty dollars ($850) or, in the alternative, the Department may institute a uniform voucher system and issue Employees uniform vouchers in lieu of a cash payment. In the event that the Department changes its specifications regarding uniforms and/or equipment, Employees shall receive an initial uniform allowance as provided above. The initial uniform allowance that Employees receive in the event of a change in Department specifications shall be provided in lieu of the annual uniform allowance as set forth in Section B. In no event shall any Employee receive both an initial uniform allowance and an annual uniform allowance in the same year.
Initial Uniform Allowance. The DoD established a higher initial maximum uniform allowance to procure and issue uniform items for DoD firefighter personnel up to $1600.00, in accordance with Section 591.104 of Title 5, Code of Federal Regulations. The parties agree the initial uniform allowance for bargaining unit employee uniformed firefighters within the consolidated unit will be up to the DoD prescribed maximum of $1600.00. Installation Fire Chiefs will determine mission requirement of the uniform and authorize a cost up to $1600.00.
