Uniform Allowances.
14.1 The City shall provide uniforms and safety equipment to employees as needed. Appendix A attached hereto shall establish the initial numbers of respective pieces of equipment.
Uniform Allowances. The following uniform allowances commenced on May 1, 2005 and shall continue hereafter: • All covered members shall receive six hundred fifty dollars ($650) during the term of this Agreement for the purchase and cleaning of uniforms. Any uniform related change required by the City by June 1 of any year during the term of this Agreement will be purchased at the employees’ expense if the City gives at least ninety (90) days’ notice of the change. Any other uniform related change will be at the City’s expense. If the Police Department requires a complete uniform change the new uniform shall be purchased at the City’s expense. Upon termination of employment during the first ninety (90) days of any fiscal year during the term of this Agreement, a covered member shall reimburse the City, on a pro rata basis, the uniform allowance for the remainder of that fiscal year. New hires after January 1st of each year will not be eligible for uniform allowance until completion of the following fiscal year.
Uniform Allowances. Probation officers whether in the field or in institutions within the Probation Department who are required by the Department to wear and maintain uniform clothing (i.e. clothing with identifying logos) for identification and safety reasons shall receive a uniform allowance of ten dollars ($10.00) paid twenty-four (24) pay periods per year (the first two pay days of each month). The department may provide work clothes/uniforms as needed for special purposes and/or safety reasons.
Uniform Allowances. Employees in the classifications of Revitalization and Abatement Coordinator (RP0745) and Civilian Crime Prevention Program Coordinator (RP4002) shall receive a uniform allowance of $26.92 biweekly.
Uniform Allowances. The uniform allowance for all employees in the Association shall be Six Hundred Twenty-five Dollars ($625.00) annually for the term of this MOU.
Uniform Allowances. Employees of this unit required to wear uniforms in the Sheriff’s Department shall receive a bi- weekly uniform allowance of $12.00. For employees hired on or before October 20, 2020, the County shall reimburse the cost of three shirts, up to $80 each, for employees assigned to the Sheriff’s Office who receive a uniform allowance. Purchase must have been made by December 31, 2020, and is subject to all existing reimbursement policies.
Uniform Allowances. Section 1: Initial Issue Upon employment, all employees covered under this Agreement shall receive all items listed as initial issue items in Appendix B.
Section 2: Replacement The Employer shall furnish employees an annual uniform allowance for the replacement of AN AGREEMENT BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY OF BATAVIA AND TEAMSTERS LOCAL #673 required items on January 1 of each year. The allowance shall be provided only if the employee can provide receipts and/or proof of purchase for items listed in Appendix B for the amount requested for reimbursement. New employees must complete one (1) year of employment before being eligible for the full benefit. Prior to completing one (1) full year, new employees will receive a pro- rated amount based on the time between their start date and the next January 1. The amount of the allowance will vary depending on the employee’s position as follows: Full-Time Records Technicians: 2018 - $575 and 2020 - $600; Part-Time Records Technicians: 2018 - $115 and 2020 - $120 per year for each day of the week the employee is normally scheduled (i.e. a 4-day week employee for the year 2018 would get $460 annually; a 2- day a week employee would get $230 annually regardless of the total hours worked each day.) Community Service Officer: 2018 - $675 and 2020 - $700
Uniform Allowances. Upon completion of one (1) year of service, all deputies and detectives shall be entitled to a uniform replacement bank allowance of eight hundred dollars ($800.00) per year. Each Deputy and Detective shall be paid three hundred dollars ($300.00) no later than February 15th of each year. In addition, when a deputy is initially assigned to the detective division for “plain clothes” duty, the deputy shall receive two hundred dollars ($200.00) for appropriate clothing. Employees assigned to the detective bureau shall receive a check in the amount of one thousand ($1,000) no later than February 15 of each year as well as a uniform bank allowance of three hundred dollars ($300) each year. Upon completion of one (1) year of service, all corrections officers shall be entitled to a uniform replacement bank allowance of five hundred dollars ($500.00) per year. Each corrections officer shall be paid two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) no later than February 16th of each year. This cash payment shall compensate employees for miscellaneous work related items and dry cleaning.
Uniform Allowances. 10.01 The City shall provide new fire fighters with a complete uniform and all protective clothing as prescribed by the Fire Chief. Fire fighters failing to complete probation shall return to the City all items furnished under this provision. No charge shall be made to any portion of the uniform allowance for any of these items.
10.02 Fire fighters shall receive a yearly uniform allowance of $1,275 per year, to be paid in cash. The cash amounts will be paid in equal installments on December 15 and June 15. The City shall replace at replacement cost, outside of uniform allowance, any uniform clothing damaged or destroyed in the line of duty. This shall include glasses, wristwatches and wristwatch bands. Replacement costs for watches shall be limited to actual value but not to exceed $100.00. The purchase of uniform items are the responsibility of the fire fighters and uniform SCFR personnel are authorized to wear only those items listed in Chapter 8 of the SCFR Administrative Procedures Manual.
Uniform Allowances. The outermost article of clothing worn by a bargaining unit member when they are “on duty” and being paid for their services, shall be the one that has been provided by the City with a “Woodstock Public Works” identification embroidered onto it. If other issued clothing (safety vests, safety coats, raincoats, etc.) must be worn, the layer of clothing under that article shall be one that has been provided by the City with a “Woodstock Public Works” identification embroidered onto it. Bargaining unit members shall not alter the uniforms that have been provided by the City (i.e. remove sleeves, write on them, etc.) New hires will receive a select number of each garment as determined by the division supervisor upon successful completion of their probationary period. After that time, uniforms will be replaced at the same frequency as existing employees. That program is based upon replacement of existing garments and will be administered as follows: The City will replace garments (i.e. t-shirts, sweatshirts, jackets, etc.) as they wear out. If a bargaining unit member has a garment that has been provided by the City of Woodstock which, because of its condition, no longer portrays a positive image of the Department of Public Works, they can submit that garment to their supervisor who will determine whether or not it will be replaced. The supervisor will take possession of the used garment at the time that a new or replacement garment is received.
