Intra-departmental Transfers. An appointing authority may transfer an employee from one position to another position in the same class in their department without prior approval of the Seattle Human Resources Director, but must report any such transfer to the Seattle Department of Human Resources within five (5) days of its effective date.
Intra-departmental Transfers. The Appointing Authority shall have the authority to transfer an employee from a position in one division of a department to a position in the same or similar classification with the same salary range, in the same division or to another division of the same department (at any time and for any duration).

Intra-departmental Transfers. A. The parties recognize the value of allowing permanent full-time employees to voluntarily transfer between positions within their respective departments. The parties agree that when a vacancy occurs, management may consider intra- department in-class transfers, among other methods of filling the position, and must post notice of the position to current employees.
Intra-departmental Transfers. A. The Authority shall maintain a fair and equitable intra-departmental transfer system that gives consideration to the following factors: • Employee request • Employee qualifications for specialized assignments • Seniority • Departmental needs
B. The parties agree that transfers will be conducted according to Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) HR.
Intra-departmental Transfers. Transfer opportunities between positions of like classification and shift will be made available to the employees within the unit or department without generating a posting. Any regular full-time or part-time position left vacant after an internal transfer, which the Hospital elects to fill, shall follow the posting procedures as outlined in Article 7.2.

If an opening within another area of an employee's current department of assignment is posted, any qualified employee may request in writing via e-mail to the supervisor by the posting deadline, a lateral transfer to that area. If an employee requests such a transfer and possesses the skills and other qualifications required, the transfer will be effected. A job application or background check (Live Scan or equivalent) will not be required. In those cases where qualifications are essentially equal, departmental bargaining unit seniority will be the factor for selection if Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) guidelines have been met. The above process will be followed until any and all positions have been filled. Any open position, which results from such a transfer, will then be posted. This internal process may run concurrently with the standard external recruitment process for department vacancies, however, all internal transfers will be determined prior to offering a position to an external candidate.

Employees may not request a transfer within a rolling twelve (12) month period.
Intra-departmental Transfers. Nothing contained in this Agreement shall prevent the Department in accordance with Human Resource Department guidelines from making transfers within any classification, shift or from one classification or shift to another, without regard to seniority, for the purpose of meeting the needs of the Department or in an emergency.
