Jewish Holidays. It is agreed that Jewish professional staff members may take the day off in observance of the Jewish Holidays of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. In exchange they will work one day prior to the start of the normal school year, or use their professional improvement day as compensation for one day, or report to work two days prior to the start of the normal school year.

Jewish Holidays. For the purposes of this Agreement, the following days will be recognized as Jewish Holidays for full-time employees and shall be dealt with and compensated only in accordance with this Article: day day A full-time employee who has completed three (3) months of continuous active service in a full-time position who is required to work on a Jewish Holiday shall be paid for authorized work performed in such day at his regular straight time hourly rate for all hours worked and in addition, the Employer shall grant another working day for the Jewish Holiday and the day so substituted shall be deemed the Jewish Holiday.   • Saturdays, Sundays, Holidays If the last or appointed day for the taking of any action or the expiration of any right required or granted herein shall be a Saturday or a Sunday or shall be a legal holiday in the State of New York, then such action may be taken or such right may be exercised on the next succeeding day not a legal holiday.

The Executive’s holiday entitlement shall be pro rated for the year in which the Employment begins and for the year in which the Employment ends.
